I'm surprised no one has asked to have cooling lines going to the chest area like the cooling line going to the leg in that one mech.

Always upvote Spiderman.

I can haz superhero outfits on pilot? I'd love to look down and see the Swedish murder machine, he knows how to treat a lady.

*knock knock knock, knock knock knock, KNOCK*

Warianna: Oh Heracles, what an unwelcome surprise, and you've brought me a corpse, how thoughtful.

Brock: Your beauty is your strength and I submit to it. Take me and let me know what it's like to be with a woman. There is nothing in this world but your power, and me, the only man who can see it. Let me worship at your altar. Let me know the pleasure of a real woman.

Warianna: I'm going to tire you out, brave Heracles, break you upon my wheel.

*both exit to her apartment*

Real men see beyond the breast(s).

well PGI?
where is it???
the new pilot model is flat chested as an ironing board.
this is unacceptable.

Well the current model is so skinny it could be a woman (skinny women tend to have small boobies).

No, they shouldn't be. That's just a snippet from BT lore, and in fact it's one of the worst lore snippets of the bunch. It might technically be canon, but it's absolutely stupid on multiple levels.

This is another one of those cases where the lore should be completely ignored, and the pilots should be wearing actual cooling suits instead of trying to fulfill the fantasies of teenage boys.

Hes right grown men don't have sex drives. :)

I started playing MechWarrior because I bought a used book. I read a few and have this drama playing in my head. I know that it is not realistic. That is the point, It is fantasy. In my pea brain, lore is what makes the drama so special. Not trying to start a fight. <S>

+1 for small minds. :)

Both men and women can want a sexy female model for the same reason both men and women can want a sexy looking male model. This happens in any/all games. There are plenty of women who want a sexy female avatar when they play a game the same as there are plenty of guys who want a studly male avatar to play.

Which is all utterly and completely irrelevant.

Minimal difference, cooling suit. Fan service in a game like this would be so shallow it would make me embarrassed for the human race. You wouldn't even see it if you're not intentionally looking around the cockpit to look at yourself. It's stupid we're even having the conversation.

Ya but its funny. :)

The soft Kevlar armor worn by regular beat cops and security guards might be flexible, but the armor plates soldiers use certainly isn't. Even then, Kevlar does a bang up job of hiding a female soldier's womanly charms.

"It had been a complaint for years that body armor was not made for the female physique. That has now changed.

The armor that women had to wear in combat was ill-fitting, uncomfortable and restricted freedom of movement, which is a detriment in operational environments. The Women's Health Task Force informed by the voices of the women serving in Afghanistan identified concerns with the body armor in use at that time."

How is this relevant? The armor shown in the article looks almost identical to the standard IOTV. It's still a heavy, bulky, uncomfortable piece of equipment. Just slightly less so than the old version for a female soldier.

Why is this even a priority over making the game itself more in depth and enjoyable?

Read the books. IS Pilots wear a cooling vest, some shirt type and normally short trousers. Cooling suits are, except for comstar very uncommon for the inner sphere. The vests aren't bulky at all, as there is normally no place to be cramped in a batTlemech. Cooling suits, especially clan ones aren't bulky either, they are more the skin tight type.
as far as i can remember your non skimpy armor suggestions are nice and pc, but contradicting all we now about batTletech.

Lets get this back on track.

So in the lore of 3025, you have a lot of pilots with only a minima amount of clothing. The main reason: Full Body cooling suits are lostech.

Clans, Comstar, the SLDF of 2750 and afaik 3060+ have access to those. Same is probably true for "elite" House Military around the current timeline in the years leading toward th Steiner-Davion CW.

And you cant compary Kevlar vests with These relativly skintight jumpsuits.

I guess we see bewbs, but not cleavage, just a hump on the chest area with maybe more feminine proportions on the hip/waist/legs.

Exactly.

It looks identical to the male version.

Notice the differences in their appearance of their tac? No? Because it doesn't exist.

EDIT: And that's what he's mostly getting at. The differences in military equipment between the sexes is simply nonexistent or negligible at best.

So I see the issue, there the boob faction now and the ones that want some realistic female armor models. So I hope PGI adds 2 one realistic one and a pay4boobs one to cater the boob need of some mechwarriors.

However, there iss till that lore part of mechwarriors (mostly IS without cooling vests, that go on beach lilke outfits due to heat in a mech) So the half naked underwear female pilot would be a fitting one, But PGI truly should give us options with this. And Hopefully we can also change colors of the suit as we can with our mech..
