You lost all credibility when you mentioned Angry Joe being an honest reviewer. If when you say honest, you mean he isn't IGN, i can accept that slightly more. However, he is the guy who favours drama over factual reviews. Sometimes he is right, usually he talks absolute crap.
5/10 from Angry Joe, 8/10's from mostly everyone else. So yeah.....and who the **** is Mack from Worth a buy, and why is his opinion Worth a damn to anyone? Lol. If you only played a free trial how would you know it is accurate to say it is more boring than destiny??? The DZ alone has more content than probably all the destiny open areas combined.....
Whatever your opinion mate, the game is clocking around 90k views on reddit topics alone. It has gained massive popularity, and the latest patch has improved a lot of its current issues no end.
I am pretty sure, minus your "free trial", if there is any singular reason people aren't playing other games right now, MWO included, its because they are playing The Division. Its ******* addictive, and fun as hell. Mainly with friends though.
I was being nice. In truth the Division is an epic fail. It will be another lesson in really really bad game design.
Its not the programmers fault or the rest of the peeps that built that game, its all designs fault.
I am going to show Angry Joes review because they got it accurate and its a bit funny but Macks is accurate to.

i expected a disappointing release failing to live up to what they attempted to suggest during the marketing campaign... and i was right... i gave it the benefit of doubt and watched a bunch of release streams/videos to make sure im not wrong... i wasnt
i see no reason to sugarcoat it... the game is just simply subpar

So many games today are made Subpar/Minimal Viability and the DEVS expect great player numbers and revenue but it usually turns out the games die after a few years from lack o players. A common phrase in gamming today is=( Here today gone tomorrow)

- Short bursts of advertisement
- New, professional trailers for each major release
- Big, lore-based events to mark each major release
- Pushing the timeline forward
- Resetting the CW map, but with subtle changes to indicate the progress from the previous period since the last major release.
- New, low budget surprise mech packs being made available for sale. Not released 6 months into the future, but made available to play the second they're available on sale. Ideally, this should be new variants of existing mechs, which would be interesting to both old and new players. For example, pay $20 to get a brand new variant of the Jenner, the Griffin, the Black Knight and the Victor for Inner Sphere players, or $20 to get a brand new variant of the Adder, Shadow Cat, Hellbringer and Warhawk for Clan players. New variants are cheap and easy to make, and you could take advantage of a temporary surge in activity and interest as both new and old players are flooding to the website.
Need to stop resetting the CW map. Just say no to a non-persistent universe.

I suspect it's actually PGI's stubborn insistence of having a Clan company(?!) be made up of 3 lances(??!!) of 4 Mechs(???!!!) each.

"We have no sure way of measuring how many active players MWO has, but I'm going to ignore that and guess anyway and say it's an abysmally low number, PGI sucks, we should all go play something else."
Right.
This community:
- "PGI should advertise more, get more people on board"
- "OMG YOU GUISE, I TOTALLY LITERALLY HAD IT WITH ALL THESE STEAM PUGS"
- "PGI should stick more to the lore, wtf is up with these make-believe variants?"
- "PGI sticks too much to lore and the game is crap because of it"
- "PGI is always listening to those who whine the most"
- "PGI never listens to any of our voices"
- "The game modes are too many and too complex, remove everything but Skirmish"
- "OMG YOU GUISE, ALL THE GAME MODES ARE THE SAME REBRANDED SKIRMISH MODE"
- "The maps are too many and too large, I hate Terra Therma, whytf is it even in here".
- "OMG YOU GUISE, THERE'S NOT ENOUGH MAPS IN THIS GAME"
And on. And on. And on. And on.
There's a typo there, it's actually "Eat Sleep Rage Repeat".
And lastly, I present to you, This Random Tier 5 Self-Declared Bittervet:
- "I've been playing this game for the last four years, it has enough content to have kept me playing for possibly hundreds of hours, but I had it with this one little minor bug and so I regret all of my past purchases and will now proceed to go on a verbose rant about how nobody else should be allowed to have fun in this game and anyone who dares do so is most likely a drooling idiot."
Yeah. Gee gees all around.

It's almost as though communities are made up of individuals who don't operate on some kind of borg hive mind and have conflicting points of view. Brilliant observation, Einstein.

I don't feel bad for them if there are many. They drove off a lot of legit players.

What you mean the big ban wave drunken Russ was dribling on about? hahaha
Dude, he's full of crap. I'll bet you right now he had a look at the amount of money some of them spend and just thought Fek it.
The reason its so quiet is because people are fed the fek up!
I dont tend to use forums for games, they acheive nothing. However as it seems were in the final days of Rome i thought i'd grab a seat, a stick and some marshmallows and get comfy.

Wow! Einstein is still alive and he's playing MWO? PGI should totally use that in advertising!

Literally new lvls of treachery going on in game for me at least at the moment. Players letting the other team win en mass to the point I am watching players park their mechs in front of the other team and not move or fight back, not one mech but multiple friendly mechs. This is in the regular queue.
Couple times in the last couple weeks very bad losing streaks and watching players on my team do under 50 damage. Multiple players per match. For like 10 or more matches straight. I kept playing to see how long they could keep it up and its impressive. Really.
Seriously only seen stuff like this in movies or read in books. Its something to see in rl even if just a game.
Been playing since closed beta and I'm sure the match logs will show at least I have not seen anything like this since I started ever. Heat is on last couple weeks without any doubt.
I am 100% certain I was being greifed into possibly getting upset in match so that I could be reported. A common tactic but the effort put in is really quite impressive.
I hope others that quit didn't go through this but I would be surpised if I am the first considering the levels of proficiency these greifers operate at.

- CW is not even close to what is should be, and looks like it never will improve.
- All modes are actually skirmish, with no global goal and no common sense.
- No new gameplay content (new mechs are not content)
- No lore events (“Tokaido” is only the name there is nothing “lore” in that “events”) and no modes that actually can be called “lore”.
For now this is “Mech 3D models collectable online” there is nothing new to do with those mechs. Good smart and global CW might be a savior of this game, but PGI must admit that beta 0,1,2 are failed, delete that crap completely with all maps modes and build models/textures, and rebuild it from the scratch. But they will never admit that and keep pretend that everything is OK and “wait until it fixed” (C).
As a session shooter MWO won’t live long. How many iconic mechs are still left to make? Not much. If there is nothing new, except new 3D models are planned, this will end pretty soon.

Long time no see. I'm very anxious to see what they do with it. I really like polar, and I logged on to walk around the new map in testing grounds today, it seems pretty cool. Plus they're re-working the heat scale and listening to community to some extent. It seems PGI is turning over a new leaf. I'll stop by and drop with you guys soon, maybe for Urbi-Friday. Not this Friday though, heading to the mountains for a week or 2, no electricity.
