Speaking of mechs and obstruction of vision, displaying of heroes names should be toggleable too. For example “HBK-GI” looks informative enough than: “GRID IRON LIMITED EDITION”.

I wish I could define their placement as to specifically set both SL on lower torso while my LPL bein on high mounts.
- Same thing goes with general loadout setup. When I mouse over some part of my weaponry I'd like to have it highlighted both in loadout and on mech at the same time.
- And have this same highlight when setting up weapon groups.
Clan U/AC's 5 need some rework. C UAC 5 vs UAC 5. Clanner will do lot less damage, takes longer to shoot and dmg is spread through 3 bullets. Only thing appealing is the fact that it visually looks cool. Other than that... as much as I love the dakka I utterly despise it in Clan version.

If so, think about your tone. Because with the current one its not very likely they will listen.
That's all I'm saying.
You are practically shooting yourself in the foot.
After a few years, it's time to be blunt, and rudely so, to get the point across that our patience has 'worn thin'.
If PGI can't take it, well, they picked the WRONG DAMN INDUSTRY to get into. Customers and players have, for the past nearly 50 years of the computer gaming industry, ALWAYS BEEN very acerbic, rude, and down right profanely crotchety. If they had some sort of bizarre idea that they'd be talked to like we exist in a damned 'My Little Pony' universe... Wow, just wow...
Anyway, I really don't have any expectation that PGI will see this thread. This thread is for US, THE PLAYERS.
Some of the things on the list have been mentioned in Town halls, we're just suffering the 'Soon' phenomenon we've always suffered through on them.

range, etc., etc. With craptastic hit registry, HSR confusion and just the general 'mudiness' of some maps it's damned hard to tell if you were crit'd out by a single ERLL somehow, OR, if there was some other joker shooting at you. Edit: Also, maintaining the text chat from the game would be really cool here too. This would go a LONG WAY to help US THE PLAYERS, help you PGI troubleshoot various things.
This is almost a replay file, so lets rename it to REPLAY and have it server side and you have all your match you can go back and watch in spectator mode. Can't imagine saving the input of 24 guys to the main server would degrade gameplay and god knows id like to go back and watch my games with all the bells and whistle a replay has like pause, free movement, rewind, slowmo etc etc.
Hey PGI, lets have 4 months where the game is polished and improved for the better rather than just add more content. Finish whatever you are doing and then focus on usability of the game, then go back to add content.

able to clams events reward in the game clients ,enough to keep log in mwomercs.com and search for the location to clams my reward....and those reward will expires....
also pls give a big big signal on what event currently active,I live in a differ time zone, why on earth I have to convert the time zone everytime... just to check that event started/ended
toggle tag and machine gun plz
force-able close archer bay door asap after fire(or any other mech that have door and work the same) when locked and fireing-lrm,there 4 second cd on it I want it to close when not in use at close range combat situation...
(currently it stay open when u locked on somebody engaged and pressing the close door don't seem to work)
give some reward to light scout and narc-ing
there no scout light in game....
have some quick command quote ,e.g. UAV, enemy detected in G7 (ecm cannot R to show on mini map),under fire, someone behide us. pip point a location to show everyone to careful
like a red box on a dark edge you can circle it for a ecm sniper
able to have quick command quote like :I was overheated!,I got no weapons left!
able to tell which leg is destroy more easier(why I have to wait that yellow doll every time?)
should be as easy to tell as lose a arm, sometime those smoke on leg is not enough and everyone paint black...
somewhat better night version and heat version.I know if it too good everyone will just put NV or HV on...but currently it so so bad ,even US army today have better NV and HV version....I mean we got reactor and mech tech......wth those version tech gone worst then today...
it hurt my feeling playing in an future environment those NV or HV more like 1980 tech to me.

When I assign weapon groups I want to know what weapons are in what side (left torso/arm, right torso/arm) so I can set the weapon group without having to enter the match or the training grounds and shoot to see wether I assigned the left/right mouse button correctly

Some blind ***, in a Jagermech today let a Timberwolf get so close it's pilot could have got out and squeezed his junk..even after I'd started firing on the TBR he remained clueless to his danger, only me yelling jesus christ are you blind jager pilot, and the TBR twisting my damage hitting him, did he finally get a clue.

Seriously, I've yet to find any vids showing significant issues with knock down that weren't obviously related to massive differences in ping.
HOWEVER, I have added it to the list. Just put the last revision of the knockdown code back, please, HAYSOOS MARIMBA do we need knock down, BADLY!

My understanding is that there are rewards, but, if your team isn't taking advantage of your TAGs and NARCs and doing damage on what you've TAG'd and NARC'd, you don't get any rewards (at least that's my current understanding).

First off - it's not scalable and sometimes the UAV icon, or strategic icons cover WAY to much of the mini map so you can't see any crap around you.
Secondly - It's not actually accurate. There are plenty of maps where HUGE obstructions are not placed on the mini map (Forest Colony comes to mind with some of those big rock spires out in the water, NOT being placed in the mini map).
That does bring to mind I need to add "scalable mini map and accurate mini map renditions of actual map".
Thanks!

It's not impossible, that's just BS, they've done it already with Hit state rewind for weapons. If you can map a difference in ping position for Smallish objects, like lasers, ballistics and missles, and map it to various mech parts, it can't be that hard to do if for largish mechs. In this case you are just comparing two mech skeletons in real time.
They COULD. They just can't be bothered.

- In settings, a scrollbar switch for locally scaling targetting reticle elements (text, target frames, tracking icons).
- Blinking icons on GUI or Cockpit screens, replacing the obstructively large notifications of "CRITICAL DAMAGE", "INCOMING MISSILES" and "WEAPON JAMMED".
- In the game GUI and on all score-screens, designating a destroyed player as "LOST", not as "DEAD". Destruction of a mech does not automatically mean death of the pilot, and Battletech is not about people dying heroically, but about combat resources being lost.
- In settings, MainCamera focus option, allowing for game camera to follow Arm targeting reticle (like in Free-look mode, but without locking the torsos in place), or to follow torso crosshair (current default), however the player decides.

I'l
l cut you short at the weapons and say that for as long as games have been out, people have tried to find the most effective way to play it.
In brood war, its simply as it is. In sc2, people who were pro at brood war looked like noobs again. 15 minute 2-3 base zerg with hydras poking terran siege tanks from pro players? Yes. As the game progressed, people refined their play until it resembled brood war heavily: People did some harass but it was mostly 5-10 minutes of nothing happening until someone attacked with a "perfect" timing and unit comp. Paradoxically, blizz, like the people suggesting weapon changes, thought they could shake this up by adding more harasser units and lowering resources for first base.
In practice, what will happen, mark my words, is that after a while of this latest version of sc2 being out, people will find ways to cut off those aggressions and nothing much will happen in the first 10 minutes once again, and it will simply look as contrived and scripted as sc2 was before the changes and unit additons, and like brood war looks.
People will RUIN your cute little system of trying to enforce a stupid playstyle.
Running into the open guns blazing while being focused down is stupid playstyle. Poking is smart playstyle.
