I will refer to an earlier post of mine on page 1....
As for the year, Rus has stated that if a base model of a Mech is 3053 or earlier, then it can be concerned fair game.
Yup, the production year was 3053 for the Bushwacker, not only that but there were even prototype models out even before then as well.
And if we go by what Russ has said about mechs having their base model in 3053 or earlier then that means the Bushwacker has the green light.

Im getting kinda tired of explaining this, since its obvious, but Russ's stance on timeline for mechs is
Does the base/main variant fit in timeline? (in KDKs case, 3001, so yes). OK, fine to release. Timeline fluff for variants is not relevant as long as the mounted tech is in the game. (and even then it sometimes gets fudged into available tech, see SHC-P)
The KDK-3 being technically 3068 is not relevant. It comes with tech that we have and the base chassis is easily in timeline..

They've had the concept art for the Cyclops since they polled us for the Resistance 1 pack a while back. Cyclops narrowly lost to the Zeus in that poll. This makes worlds of sense.
I know, I know, Flea's art has actually been released for a while too. Maybe when we can have the FireMoth, folks can petition Russ with another Urbie Mob to get the Flea

I get that the Cyclops is another mixed-loadout big boy. The Atlas is the only viable one of those right now, due specifically to structure quirks and the ability to bring a big alpha. Smaller versions of the mixed hardpoint theme (ON1, ZEU, VTR, HGN) don't have the tonnage to bring the guns (without an XL, that is) aside from the occasional laserboat, and will need SuperQuirks of some kind to keep up (ON1-V, HGN-732b).
They've got no more reason to quirk it than the others, which have been waiting a while for help. I wouldn't mind trying out some info quirks in addition to combat quirks, similar to the ones we get modules for (Target Info Gathering, Sensor Range, Target Decay, etc). An extra module slot might be nice

That's why I made sure I had in there that FedCom units had pre-production models, helps that it is right out of the TRO too.

Viking would be excellent. Also the Beowulf. I know, a few years off regarding the timeline, and not the needed tech. But PGI could use weapons we have now as placeholder replacements until they add said tech

If theres TWO mechs I want to see soon theres the Flea and Cougar (draws the Kodiak a bit off timeline card as excuse)
Someone better tell me what the REAL reason why the Flea cant be included (yet). Theres enough variants, we have the tech, enough differences from the Locust and slower than it, (one has masc, but still slower) while having overall smaller profile and imo better and more hardpoints.

If not he Flea, at least the Cougar.

Sure its a slower Puma (base speed of 86 km/h vs Pumas 97 km/h) bu its got the firepower and it could get structure and armor buffs to compensate for lower speed. Besides the Prime, it also has A,B,C,D variants
I grow fond of both these mechs when I played MW 4 mercs like crazy. So thats my reason. Remember the night mission stealing intel on the Templar mechs and when done you had to outrun a ton of mechs to escape with the info?
Yeah my little Flea helped me out there. Never have I had such an adrenaline rush in a mech stealth mission.
The Cougar on the other hand, stayed in my bay among a few of its cousins until the very end game. Pretty useful light mech. And my favorite light to use in the Solaris FREE FOR ALL arena. Also I bet you Jade Falcons want this mech, I know it, ask for it you too, then maybe...

I'd be all for the Cougar, but she is a Clan mech, designed by Clan Jade Falcon, so it is not an IS mech.... we are talking about IS mechs sadly.

Like other mechs that are similar on the surface. Locust need his buddy, c'mon! *Sigh*
Heres a picture from an age old thread with comparisons between Jenner, Locust and Flea (not to scale)

Between the Locust and the Flea, I'm glad we've got the Locust... the Flea is just a slower Locust (before M.A.S.C.), they actually have very similar battle field roles, as they are both meant to be scouts / harassers/ infantry killers.

That's actually one of the main reason why PGI has not put the Flea in yet because they do the same thing, even Russ said that as well. Sure, the speed and MASC was a big reason why we didnt get the Flea from the start, but after getting the Locust and MASC working they just didn't see the point in putting in the Flea.
