It says -25% though. Doesn't that mean it won't crit as well?

It's green so it's a positive quirk. IMHO it means that you have a reduced chance (-25%) to suffer a critical hit

I usually don't go by the colors because PGI has mis-colored quirks several times.

That being said, reduced chance to be critted makes more sense. I definitely like that better too, lol.

Weren't they supposed to fix the heatsinks for sub-250 engines too?

They were supposed to do that yes...

But it required coding.

so they used quirk band aids.

As a result, you will generate more heat on alphas.. yet you cool down quicker. and get to zero heat about the same time as before.

the colors in that table are not the colors inagme, there is even a legend ontop of the tables explaining what the colors mean.

I'm well aware of that, thanks.

Just saying there have been times in the past where PGI's color scheme did not match the quirk, and then they had to go fix the sheet after it was pointed out to them.

I don't suppose you could master collisions in the near future?

I'm not even concerned about knockdowns- nice as they would be- I just want to stop the stupid teleporting garbage..

It means the Chassi will less likely be critted by 25%

Why did the Jester lose 33% of its structure bonuses? This mech is barely used as it is... I don't see why you guys bothered to do this?

Love catapults and the jester is pretty much the only variant worth bringing to CW (I got two large pulse, three large lasers on it).
Guess I'll just swap out to a meta deckdrop... Tons of cons to the Catapult models (hitboxes, laser placement (have to spread them all over rather than on one side), no arms, etc).

Phase 3 at last.

Great changes in a small patch, if people do not react positively to this most awaited modification, then I think they just do not deserve to play MWO.

Good old CW now called FP is the thing, thank you ! Posted Image

Also scouting seems to be vey much a FS9/ACH job only, where its all about speed for survival and firepower. maybe an srm Crow may have a tiny bit of use too.

I dunno dropping 4 streak crows moving as a murder ball would probably cover 90% of the possible scenarios... especially if the enemy are all lights...

you are still slower, and i would require knowing where they are to properly intercept them. otherwise you won't be able to ever see them form close enough to lock and fire. 20 objective locations is quite a lot. thats not like defending omega.

1) Forcing units to sign with a faction still sucks... So in order for us to play what was COMMUNITY warfare, we have to either break the unit or sign with a faction. Not good options in my opinion, either of them.

Sorry Im not understanding you point. You don't have to sign on with a faction. If you want to be a loyalty player, then yes you do. Other wise, just sign a 7 day merc contract. Am I missing somthing?

3) War planning. You are not exactly giving much choice here. Vote for a random planet ???

This was odd to me as well. Not knocking it yet as I want to see how it plays out, but to your point, I think as a House Member, you might want to go after high value targets, or carve your way to your rivals capital.

Wait, am I reading this right?

Locusts with Turn Rate, Accel and Decel boosts?
Urbanmechs with Heat Dissipation boosts?

Guess I know which mechs I'll using today...

I'm having a really hard time getting excited for this patch. PGI, you really hurt casual units with the recruiting fees. The Golden Foxes have historically been open to anyone. We take brand new pilots, seasoned beta veterans, and everyone in between. We currently have around 180 members, meaning our next recruit will cost 9 million cbills. Over the years we've recruited many members who have turned out to be inactive. It's never been a problem before, it's just part of running a casual unit.

You've forced us into the position where we have to consider abandoning our core principles as a unit because we can't afford to be welcoming to everyone. That philosophy has created a fantastic unit with genuine friendships that has been around since closed beta. This change really hurts. We (and units like us) have been a positive force in this game for a long time. Now it feels like we got shafted without a second thought because you wanted to nerf MS.

Alternative in regular wars: Deserters get shot. So you're pretty well off with 25% LP loss, I'd say.

Well... 1st it's a game
2nd, it smacks of PGI greed logic "Hmmm... what are units doing to get Mechbays and MC rewards, we better put a stop to that". (The other fallacy being that the people playing CW regularly are also the ones who spend money on this game)
