TL:DR, the nerds feel the tryhards don't respect their franchise, and the tryhards feel the nerds should man up and play the game the way they want, even if for the nerds it ruins an entire iteration of a 30-year-old franchise.

Or at least that is, again, the perception of one loyalist pilot who even is pretty moderate in his opinion of mercs.

So sick of all the lonestarrs wanting to dictate their **** to the units.
PGI set this up, the units/players only react to it in order to get fast drops/play their new swag/competition.
Get rid of your fallacy, the big/good units don't have weekly meetings in order to avoid each other.

Several Steiner / 12DG players individually stated, that they won't drop against Jadefalcon this week, which is more likely a scam than the (predictable) concentration of good units in CJF bc of the Kodiak release.

Everybody on IS side should be happy at this point, for getting fast drops with solid competition.
But it seems every opportunity to blame smth on MS/228/xxx is welcomed by the butthurt.

Come on now...The Steiners currently face the entire weight of 3 of the best teams in the game. IF Steiner had an equivalent number, or even a similar number, of competitive players, you MIGHT have a point. And since you seem to be equating "units" with mercs...well, I haven't seen a whole lot of loyalist solos.

Mercs should serve at the pleasure of factions (loyalists). Otherwise you're not mercenaries. You're a roving army of supersoldiers who moves factions every few weeks and changes the power balance of struggles that have nothing to do with you.

And don't even get me started on the fact that you guys can fight for the Clans. That alone makes some not even want to fight Clans because it is the single largest **** anyone has ever taken on "Lore" since the Dark Ages stuff.

In my opinion most of the units who play CW/FP are not looking for competition. All they want is easy money and XP.
I have seen so many 12 men trashtalk against PUG's before they had a hard Time or lost horrible. Most of them where loyalists.
Thats the reason why most of the compteams dont play FP much. That and the bad mapdesign.

Who are you to insult us to be scammers and dictate us how to Play Faction wars?

Valar already pointed out that currently Steiner faces the a most competetive Teams. We - carefullly speaking of Steiner Allstars - cannot cover all timezones to secure a planet. Especially not with all comp Teams in one faction.

We are happy to have opponents but not with an overweight in one faction.

There are always some trolls, but how in the world could you imagine stoping pugs OVER AND OVer could be any fun for any halfway decent unit??

Don't you think people in good untis most likely have Cbills flowing out of their *** in abundance already??

You can find people avoiding competion in this threat, rather than in the described units.

This **** is getting old. Only PvE will make the game enjoyable for perma-baddies.

Fighting against CJF atm (only for a goddamn week) should be seen as a good opportunity to sharpen your skills, who gives a flying **** if the planet is lost, seriously.

Sure, it's a great opportunity to hone your skills. The other week against 228 I sharpened my own piloting acumen quite a bit. That's a whole different story than fighting against 3 huge teams that already have tactics mastered to a degree that gets [derogatory terms for people who take gaming too seriously] thrown around. I realize this isn't a problem for you guys, but for the average player, 3 hours of straight losses at the hands of teams who spend their free time training to be good at a video game is mostly a good sign that it's time to go do something else for a while. Most of us have too much going on outside of MWO to dedicate even more precious time to enhancing our e-peen.

Your tone is abusive, if you can't be good in this game with a reasonable time effort, don't blame others for enjoying the game the way they want.

It's the usual 'premades are bad' with some 'they must be all nerds'.
So maybe at least you realize, that you don't add anything to this discussion but your frustration.
Just like so many others.

And iLL, you really are being hypocritical atm. Phase I, Rasalhague caught a potato-sacking of epic proportions from the Clams and stopped playing almost entirely due to the sheer boredom of knowing you're going to lose 90% of the time every single day.

[redacted]. I don't consider spending 8 hours a day in MWO a "reasonable time effort." I don't consider having regularly scheduled commitments to a video game a "reasonable time effort." I have real-world responsibilities. I'm pretty good at MWO in spite of that. I will never be a top-tier competitive player, and I have no drive to put in that much effort while trying to finish school, working two jobs at odd hours, and probably starting a family in the next 2 years.

And you still don't seem to understand that not all units and not all premades are mega-merc groups. I'm in a unit in a coalition of loyalist units. Here's my left one; feel free to suck it.

Rasalhague, you know, the faction you're currently aligned with? Are you dumb? See the rest of my comment above for more reasons to get mad at me for holding a different opinion.

No, it's an "I have a real-world existence that involves social interaction and also managing a real-world relationship." You know, those things you've never known once in your tryhard existence?

facepalm 500.
So you spent 3 hours loosing in CW, then out of frustration went back to your fabulous RL, only to find yourself typing in the related forums about the sillyness of it all. You go girl.

I wasn't talking about me. I was talking about the faction queues any time there's a huge imbalance in favor of one side.

Again, I work odd hours. I just got up to get ready for work in an hour and decided to waste a little time here. I know these concepts of real-world responsibility escape you, but it's not all video games, Cheeto dust, and mom's tendies in the real world.

U are trolling me?
I lead a workshop and have family.

@iLL: I think you misunderstood me. Im looking for competition. Thats the reason why i play invasion mostly all time as a PUG or with max 2-3 other guys.
But i think most of the units play FP for the easy win. They arent looking for competition.

Sorry then. I can only speak for my unit and we embrace any decent match we get in CW.
As do the guys in MS, 228, Kcom and Evil I know.
