When they allow proper melee combat...
Allow?! we still have rubber-band-coding-chaos when one mech barely touches another! How much development would it take to implement melee from there?? I think the issue is a little beyond simply flicking a switch (but I support your faith and would love to see the mechanics in the game).

I have it on good authority that they are checking this and other threads for valuable feedback and will be finding the very best suggestions and questions to address in the Town Hall.
Just a few more days until the Phoenix Hawk, friend! Love that Collector's Pack!!

You know, guys not named Wintersdark or Alistair or Quicksilver and stuff...maybe Piranha would be more inclined to answer your questions if all your questions weren't "When are you going to stop f*cking up and do all this sh!t I've written down in my sig-linked forum post that is literally the only way to save MWO?"
Yeah, Piranha's communication recently has been bad. They need a community management team that actually, y'know, manages the community, and they need to pick a direction to start taking MWO and stick to it. But no, I don't actually expect them to answer the biased, nakedly hostile stuff you guys keep throwing at them, and in fact don't even want them to.
Maybe act like reasonable human beings instead of diarrhea-flinging rabid monkeys and you might get further. Reasonable human beings can make points and express their dissatisfaction in ways that don't involve fiery butt emissions, you know.
You can't be anything but a PGI apologist can you?
I imagine everyone around you probably has to deal with you in a such a delicate way as to not be seen as unreasonable or confrontational. Your boss probably has to speak in a monotone as to not offend you for fear of a hostile work environment suit.
Even if PGI took time and effort to explain and test changes properly who has any confidence they could get it right? History and track record show that isn't how they are capable of operating. MWO wouldn't need saving if they followed through on the core pillars the game was suppose to be built around. Haven't you been around long enough to understand that?

1. PVE, what are we going to get, co-op? PvE support in CW? PvE campaign ect. Rough ball park of when?
2. We know that there is few mechs left, and very few Clan mechs left. How many mechs are left before we hit the scum at the bottom and jump to the new barrels?
1. PvE as lame as it is to play PvE anything won't make it into the game until the PvP well runs dangerously low. Then you can buy their pleb friendly easymode academy update, I hope it costs 200 bucks or something outrageous.
2. Since mechs aren't content and nothing more than skins with slightly different geometry if a time jump doesn't bring in new weaponry what is the point? The 200 plus mechs you have to choose from that have allowed the game to be redundantly stale aren't enough?

Seriously.
Go play Civ or something. It'll be better for everyone's state of mind.

MWO was a crap game 3 months into Closed Beta and its Still a boring repetitive FPS today.
The older PC MechWarrior games were so much better single player mode and multiplayer with all the Private Leagues and the MSN Gamming Zone.
The only thing I want to hear from Russ is he is bringing back true BattleTech and MechWarrior4 style Multiplayer a new MSN gamming Zone with Social ability's and this E-Tard Sport FPS MWO game gets scraped for good.
MWO= Fail Fail Fail on so many things I cant support this crappy game no more.

Daeron and Phil openly state that they are employed by PGI. Their job is to promote the game. They act as kind of a hired PR firm if you will. Why would anyone expect them to ask the kind of inflammatory questions that some people here think they should be asking? As it stand, they sometimes push the envelope and ask questions that put Russ on the spot.
If you want some kind of adversarial investigative reporter questions then you will be sorely disappointed because that is not their function nor is it what they get paid to do. This podcast is simply an opportunity for the community to hear directly from the CEO as to what is being released and what is in the pipeline for the game. It is the information that people were complaining had been cut-off just over a week ago with the Fortress PGI thread and the Where is Russ? thread.
It does not matter what PGI does. To some it will always be wrong or not enough.
