1. New mech icons good. Very useful to understand target weight. Nice.
2. Really cool texture on battlefield (big map on B button). And all numbers and letters I can see clearly.
3. Really bad icons of base and capturing points. Where its center? In end of flagholder? Under flag? In center icon? Useless.
4. Nice icon of mech, but it needs field of view or any "sight line" to know where direction I looking now when running from or to enemy \ construction \ cover...
5. Mini-map need to be adaptive bigger depending on resolution. On 1280x800 - it's a horror.
6. Orders icon nearly same color like my own mech-arrow. When there 3 or more orders... in FW - I can't find myself on mini-map. Or zoom it to 6x6 maximum quadrants visible on mini-map on same time. But it need to revert back to centered position of mech... and... yes - direction arrow and field of cockpit view. ~_~
7. I love texture and color of mini-maps. Smart darkened color better than bright texture of old map. But fast find quadrant by crossing of vertical and horizontal line in fire of battle to call number and letter... em... after 20 plays i still can't use it right.
8. Command wheel - just great! Messaging about visual contact - great idea just like calling air or art strike on target. Now i freely use them in game without fear to miss or place it on my own team.
9. New map frozen city... Nice sniper-lrm map. But even brawling mech can take their role in right place. I think it would be cool to take brawling part of that map and make mini-frozen-city to replace old one for brawlers fast games. But... with domination mode... yeah - bad idea. Let it be like that.
10. And issue with on ground direction arrow. On old maps it works fine... not everywhere, but fine. On new map Frozen City - its barely visible (white on white background... like painting of snowman in front of white wall. Pretty bad idea). Addition to that - every small hill or ground bump hide that arrow totally. So you cant even fast find it by rotating legs. I know about C button and F (useful for run on light mech), but it not what can be used in heat of brawling or fast retreat with shielding. 1 second - and you can be killed from alpha shot. 1 second - and you can find cover and win.
UPD: Oh, I read a twitter. I'll wait new changes! Hope it would be like i think. Best news for the day! I love that game and regular play in it even when my fav mech takes damage of quirks change or became bigger than need. I play, because it best Mech Based Game I ever play. And still best. But until new fixes come - I'll try to play in different ways or even play without looking on mini-map. It's a real joy to search new in game or discover something new in game mechanic, trying to imagine hot to improve it or accept it like best possible decision of developers.

I haven't piloted any mechs besides the Phoenix Hawk since the patch so I can't really tell you if I like the new scaling or not on other mechs. I do feel the Phoenix Hawk is a touch too big. I'm not calling for a drastic change but for it's purposes I do think it needs to be smaller.
