I thought I was seeing a lot of cicadas all the sudden but nope! Just jenners.

Lights are bigger than ever... LB10 is better in the meta than ever... KDK3 mounts 4... makes me a happy shotgun lover.

That's funny. Cicadas are pretty rare anymore. Especially since PGI ****** up their weapon geometry.

And you still miss the goddamn point. ****.

I NEVER DENIED THAT. MY WHOLE POINT FROM MY FIRST DAMN POST WAS THAT THERE IS MORE TO MECHS THAN THEIR FRONTAL PROFILE.

Do you need me to break that into even smaller words?

Seriously. I don't even play this damn game anymore, haven't been on this damn thread since ******* JUNE, and you people still gotta keep pulling me in. AND still need me to color with crayons so you get the point.

You know you don't have to respond when people quote you, right? ;)

Weren't Cicadas the highest scoring IS medium on the leaderboard tournament?

The Blackknight has vanished after the re-scale and quirk adjustments. In my opinion the re-scale wrecked this mech. Tall as an Atlas but the hardpoints are so low. You can see them coming from a mile away and then they still have to cross over any terrain to fire.

I believe Novas, and Stormcrows were top then Cicadas (then Griffins and Shadow Cats).

Some of my light 'mechs have become harder to pilot, but not by a huge margin. They're still good. Only light 'mech that I had to change builds on was my Jenner IIC. Replaced its Small Pulse LAsers with ER Medium Lasers because getting in range to use SPLs in a Jenner is practically instant death now. Only light 'mech I have not had a chance to extensively test since the rescale is the Wolfhound. My Catapult is also a much better 'mech since the rescale.

Yes, because the 2B can pump out serious damage for a light if it manages to get within range.

Rescale made most mechs worse. Only mechs I have that were improved were the locusts and catapults. Rest didn't change or went back into storage status.

The Nova came out pretty well I think.

I weep for my non-Locust lights though. Poor babies.

I weep for Locusts for other reasons, namely that they got nerfed anyway and that my Lynx eats them all too often. It's getting fat and slow.

Well, by Locusts I really meant the 1E and 3M. Maybe the PB on a good day. The rest remain hot stinky garbage with bad hardpoints.

Haven't really messed with the Lynxes at all. Are they any good now?

No. Never have been and likely never will be.

It was very short sighted of PGI to rescale mechs, especially lights, and not adjust quirks or movement archetypes.

No, the Lynx has been unchanged for the entire year, IIRC. But...it is incredibly agile, if not fast, and that makes it incredibly fun to play. I've been using it a lot recently, and one of the signature events that seems to keep popping up is a cocky Locust pilot going tango with me, only to get splatted as he runs past and I make a snapshot to his CT from those extremely intuitive arm weapons. It is made of the purest of keks.

As for the Locust; it needs every single one of those nerfs rescinded, but above all else the 1M and 1E need to have those laser duration quirks restored. The 1E can sort of get by without them, but they were absolutely essential into making the 1M something properly dangerous (1x SRM4 + 1x SRM2 + 2xML was not a joke build on it...also have you noticed that SRM4 on the Locust has 6 tubes?).

The LCT-3S was also a pretty decent SRM bomber; I used it in AS scrims to fantastic effect after the rescale; it could use its armor back, now its arms are both big and squishy. More armor wouldn't solve the ammo problem, either.

Right now, I think the LCT-3M is once again the king of the Locusts. Short burn, good damage from short-burning and fast-cycling 3xMPL+2xSL. I think it's even better than 6xSPL ever was on the 1E.

More or less I feel pretty meh.

However, I think the Firestarter either needs a re-model or A LOT of quirks now.

a 70t mech as tall as a 100t? Where the hell is it keeping all the weight!?

As if PGI applied no sense of size, weight, scale to the rescale.....what were they using to determine the rescale? Was it taht dart board of balance again!? Someone needs to 'accidentally' drop it in a wood chipper and lose it forever....

they used a volume rule, but they could have adjusted it a bit...
