I know about the hotfix. I didn't when I started this thread, up until I posted about it. Nobody else that posted to be on the list knows/knew about it either, or just didn't care, like Mycrus said.

The following link is to a thread started right before yours. There were others too but Procurator Derek either deleted some or merged them somewhere else. I, myself, posted in the better detail about the hotfix in several other complaining threads including adding links to said thread below. Wish I had been less vague in yours.

I won't play with this mini map and yes I know about the hotfix.

I'm not sure I will play with the new one either.

Hot fix isn't until 5 tomorrow.

Acknowledging it doesn't make it suddenly playable. Also i saw this as more a way to put our foot/feet down and tell PGI that things like this wont be received well going forward.

Give us a game we want or we go elsewhere. Its not an ultimatum or a threat its the truth and the way things work. If its not fun i wont play, dont care how much fan boy i am.

Call me crazy, but I freakin love the new map and compass.

• The map is oriented, so it's easy to say, "enemies to the north-east" or "everyone move south to protect our fatlass getting picked on by lights."
  
• They removed all the numbers on the compass so it's easy to see directions now. Before I'd have to think about where 190 fell in 360 or had to move around and find the letter. It's much more user friendly now, so people can more easily call directions or respond to those calls.
  
• I had a hard time reading the grid depending on the underlying terrain. I love that the grids are outside now, it makes it so much easier to instantly recognize where you're looking on the map. As a light scout I'd sometimes have to look around my map because the grid was hidden on a mountain and I couldn't tell if it was an E or F. Small enough problem, but this new map makes things infinitely easier.
  
• It shows plenty of map so I don't have to constantly switch to my fullscreen map to see what's going on.

Revis pretty much said exactly what I would have regarding scheduled fixes vs. problems in general, and how the community responds, etc.

I'm still totally confused what you mean by linking whatever posts and such. I don't remember you really saying anything other than "didn't you get the memo?" which isn't even vague, to be honest, if you were referring to the scheduled hotfix.

If you check post #81 however, at the top of page 5, you'll see I myself linked this exact thread you now have here. Am I missing something?

This is so painfully shortsighted. First off, we don't even really know what they're changing. From the tweets, I'm not sure they even do. Much is still in vague and non-concrete wording that could easily be well off our expectations, all amidst the consistent talk about the "new direction" that more than hints about significant future changes.

The point of the thread is to make it clear that people do not want non-playtested, non-reviewed alterations to the game, whether additions or deletions. Like Revis said, it's not an ultimatum, it's not "saber-rattling", it's telling the company making the product what we would like to spend money on.

Also, you've made like 5 posts here in the last hour. Don't try to tell me no one cares, because clearly at least you do.

Again, count down exactly 6 replies from your very first post you made beginning this here thread. #6 reply. That's me informing y'all of the upcoming hotfix. There were several other threads by others announcing such on the first page of 'General Forum' at the same time.

I've already explained this more than once. How many times must I repeat myself before y'all get it through your thick skulls?

Again, you seem to be missing the point and at this rate you wont get it ever. No matter how much i explain it to you.
