What's your worst case scenario when playing?

Mine is when turning a Corner thinking the enemy isn't there when they actually are and getting a healthy breakfast of Vitamins B, and L.

  • LocationStill doing ungodly amount of damage, but with more accuracy.

When I have a perfect view of a clustered enemy and press the artillery strike button, just as a teammate gets in front of me. FFFFFFFFFFFFFF...

Also, getting Domination on Grim Plexus usually promises a bad game experience for me.

AFKs when defending in scouting. I had nightmares about it last night.

Edit: And long tom. I've seen a whole wave of drops get wiped by it before.

Worst case scenario is when I end up on a mute team with zero communication including several emos with their VOIP disabled. Often in those situations everyone just kind of does their own thang usually resulting in a wipe occasionally followed by a dude only then communicating by flipping out in chat calling everyone else a scrub.

Watching players chase the squirrel - all day, every day... even when they clearly don't have enough speed to catch up..

Too many games have been won by a squirrel drawing away half the enemy team from the front lines. Even though said squirrel often dies he/she has in effect already won the game for their own side.

It's also not fun when piloting a light mech, getting inside the domination circle only to find yourself pinned down while all the heavies and assaults set up camp outside the circle. If I can't get them to advance over the VOIP I say screw it and break away myself. If the team doesn't want to win why should I care either?

Scout mode when defending:
  • AFK/mostly lights on blue team/Myst Lynx's
  • Seeing blue team scatter to the winds looking for Intel

Any game:
  • Having no scouting/recon and turning blind around a corner into a firing line, especially when your mech is slow.
  • Turning to face a push or positioning to trade from high ground/good position only to see your team has fled/ NASCAR'ed away to flank/ambush?? the enemy from behind cover somewhere far far away...
  • Pushing when called only to discover that the person calling is a long way behind you and no one else is really keen.
  • Forgetting to equip Radar Derp on a new assault/slow mech and dropping on Polar.
  • Blue team leaves x assault/slow mechs behind

Mining map:
  • your Alpha and Beta lances have NASCAR'd the one of the flanks, opposite Charlie lance, who are now trying to catch up... and team red pushes past the middle as a group.

Canyons/Terra maps - conquest:
  • Charlie lance heads to Epsilon/( or insert cap name) by itself... and meets 2 - 3 lances of team red...

Terra Therma:
  • Blue team gathers around an entrance way or two allowing a couple of the mechs, to get in one another way whilst, trying to trade versus most of team red who are all in, having good lines of fire.

Domination
  • Being first to the green circle when piloting an assault or slow mech...
  • Alpine peaks & domination on that side.
  • Grim Plexus; when your team wants to lrm/poke/wait/hide/whatever from behind the hill outside of the circle... occasionally feeding smaller mechs to green monster... till team red pushes, unopposed around one of the sides...

The are the ones that spring to mind... bound to be more

Almost every night, and i dont learn my lesson, the torso stop twisting and i cant aim but i can still steer(keyboard) but i cant stop or accelerate(bound to mouse). The mouse battery is dead and now i have to quickly change it, it happened twice in a turning fight so far and the first day of this event in Invasion i lead a push with my AS7, i went straight into the opposite wall walking against it till i change the battery and continued toward the TBR and HBR. The guy behind was too busy shooting to look at me and congratulated me on my push LOL! im serious. I still manage 800+ damage on that AS7 alone.

So yeah, losing power in a fight is pretty much worse case scenario for me.

I don't mind the heat level on Terra Therma, but I hate the map layout.

When you are the first of the whole company in a heavy because everyone plays coward and you finally find the enemy. All of them. At once, because those guys knew how to move around.

Bonus points for getting some chatter that you wasted your mech or suiciding reports... Posted Image

Lack of communication. About two weeks back I was staring down a two mechs in a brawler timby. I had a cored ct and let fly what I figured was my last 82 pt alpha. However, to my dismay, a fellow timby came flying out of no where to help shield me just at that moment, only to eat my entire alpha (well more just the 4 asrm6) in the back. It killed him, my alpha was wasted, and I bit it just after.

I'm curious why you accelerate and stop with your mouse? I never heard of anyone doing that. How many buttons does your mouse have? How do you fire?
