Pgi just wanted to mock what was left of BT with these... they destroyed the game mechanics long ago... now they are done with the looks too.

Other than that I love the new decals. They're put on mechs for others to see as we ourselves can't view our own decals from within the cockpit. So, chill out!

I thought these things would be to enhance the look of the mech, not turn them into a mario cart land of kiss lips and smilies.

And for all the dickbutts, you can report them. PGI even updated the CoC for this. So no way your little children get to see something funny when they play a game where they learn to shoot and kill other people...
My concern is withhow bad the decals look, texture wise, and how indiscriminately they can be placed. The Jester is ridiculous and I absolutely love that thing, because it LOOKS GOOD and the texture quality is a uniform. Look at this crap:
The smiley face decal is just this blob of texture over the lines of the mech that doesn't keep any of the shape or lines of the mech. The decals don't behave the same way under lighting. It just looks terrible.
And how are they just plastered/painted over the cockpit like that? Again, that just looks like amateurish bush league ********.

Decals need to be able to be turned off, because I don't need to see a bunch of **** **** / *** / and smile faces on these mechs.
As far as I'm concerned this is the moment where PGI jumped the shark.
Can I get an off switch that saves my eyes from abominations like stump armed Hellbringers and Warhammers and other immersion ruining MetaMech garbage?

people demanded these things for ages and then upon arrival no doubt the little girls complain.

Giving that amount of freedom to placing images (especially images on top of each other, cockpit glass or weapons) is BS, but it makes people spend their MC. Mission accomplished!

I'm really glad that we can finally add house and unit symbols. Beside those jerky dickbutt deckles this system opens some customization we demanded since the beginning of the game. And lore mechwarriors were not that serious like our tryhard leet esport gamerz... or at least forum warriors.
So many things to complain in this game and people chose deckles for the fight

People demanded decals such as unit insignias, numbers, and shapes to put on their mechs in a classy way.
They did not asked for huge smileys over cockpit windowsand gun barrels

BTW any player that has used the decal system to put a D!ck on their mech should have their account deleted, no warnings.
