28 wins, no cache. I wonder if it's possible to get cache when you disconnect after dying, but your team wins? Anyone?

I am not sure, but I think that it happened to me once.

"However, if a player incurs a Disconnect Penalty during the match that player will not be eligible for being awarded a Supply Cache. Additionally, dying as a result of Out of Bound Destruction will also render a player ineligible for being awarded a Supply Cache."

That said, if you average 1 chance out of 10 every win you can still have a hundred match and not get one pretty easily, if it's purely random.

Yes, dc penalty makes sense, out of bounds too. What about 0 pings and AFK's? (the ones that didn't do any damage, haven't moved, for example?).
But i'm actually talking about disconnecting (leaving the battle on your own) when you have been destroyed, you did damage and so on. And its not 1 in 10, it's 1 in 12, right?

Well assuming its all DC i would average a team of 10 still connected at the scoreboard. What did they mean DC penalty? That if you disco, under any circumstance you get a penalty? of that there are special disconect that gives a penalty?

I used the key from the event to open one with PT, a shadow hawk, a module, a cockpit item and 3 keys inside. Ofc i won a c-ssrm6.

Since then i get 50.000 c-bills from each cache.

DC penalty is when you get disconnected and dont reconnect within specified time (not sure its 3, 5 or something minutes). If you reconnect later than specified time, you get penalised.

Edit: Found something on penalties (not sure if it's the current state of the system):

"Disconnect Penalty System

The automated penalty system releasing in this patch is intended to penalize players for intentionally disconnecting from matches in which the player has not yet been destroyed. Once a match has been found and you are placed into the map and game mode voting screen outlined above, all 24 players are considered to be 'in' an active match. If a player disconnects from the match prior to the destruction of their 'Mech, whether they are still within the voting screen or in the match itself, the player will have 3 minutes to reconnect before a disconnect penalty level is applied. If they reconnect to the match before the 3 minute timer expires, no penalty level will be applied. Once a player has been flagged with a penalty level a delay to their next matchmaking search will be enforced (whether solo or group). The duration of the delay is determined by the current penalty level.

For cases where the disconnect was not intentional, the 3 minute timer is intended to provide players with sufficient time to re-join the match in question. If circumstances prevent a successful re-join within that 3 minutes, the first penalty level is a mere 10 second delay toward the next matchmaking search. It is only when a player purposefully disconnects from multiple matches that the real penalties will begin to pile up.

This is a breakdown of the current penalty levels:

• First Disconnect: 10 second delay for next matchmaking search
• Second Disconnect: 2 minute delay for next matchmaking search
• Third Disconnect: 5 minute delay for next matchmaking search
• Fourth Disconnect: 10 minute delay for next matchmaking search
• Fifth Disconnect: 20 minute delay for next matchmaking search

Each subsequent disconnect beyond the Fifth Disconnect will also enforce a 20 minute penalty.

Penalty levels reset every 4 hours.

All of the above values are tune-able, and may be subject to change depending on how the system plays out in the general population."

Is this the cache with a Zeus as one of the items? If it is, then that's another indication that it's preset. Is PGI too lazy to put in an actual RNG?

Got 250k as well, from a supply cache with a Zeus in it.

First cache i opened it popped up 7 days premium time. Thought i had won. Then i realized you needed to spin the wheel :(
Next 2 times it automatically started spinning when i opened it.

I've won 250,000 cbills, 2 jumpjets and an EBJ torso which it won't let me sell.

Don't own any EBJs.

I believe there is a line in the movie WarGames that goes:

The only way to win is not to play.

It should go into your inventory eventually, I got an arm for a Nova that didn't show up in inventory at first either.

Disconnect will disqualify you from getting the cache.

I had 3 caches and got 250k c-bills, 2xlrm15s, and a C-gauss
I have another cache right now and I'm just going to sell it. I don't like invisible odds.

I don't get why these can't just be free, or opened with c-bills at the least. They dangle large prizes in the hope people funnel money into the system. If they are going to charge MC for this, they should change the items in the list. Decals, decorative items, colors, and paint schemes as the lower prizes. Standard mech + mechbay as a high end prize. Maybe throw in the occasional Hero mech as very rare prize.

25 mc is only worth like half million cbills(even less if you buy ripoff cbill packs) i don't see what you people think you should be getting.

My guess would be on 550k...

LRM15 opened one.

People must be crazy if they think I'll ever pay MC to open one of those.

For science and also because I have a ton of MC sitting around anyway, I'll open the ones I have right now.
The one I previously opened with my free key had a Nova-A right arm omnipod. That particular crate had a Vindicator, one day of premium time and a mechbay as some of the options.
The results for my remaining four supply caches are:
An inner sphere large laser
A Kitfox-C right arm omnipod
An Adder-prime right arm omnipod
An inner sphere ER large laser

Total value for all 5 caches: 1,149,781CB
Total sale value: 574,891CB
Cache sale value: 250,000CB

Total value gained: 899,781
Total sale value gained: 324,891

Key value: 75MC
Total CB/MC: 11,997CB
Sale CB/MC: 4,332CB

The price for buying Cbills directly is 800MC per 1.1 million which equates to 1,375CB/MC, meaning that buying supply keys is if nothing else a cost effective way to buy Cbills and random equipment.
I would advise against opening caches that have items in them that are worth less than 100K Cbills unless you really want to try for the big items.
