...and a free Blackjack on top of that is a good deal.

Explain how it is free. Did these loyalty mechs just appear out of thin air?

How about rewarding our loyalty by giving us the product we paid for? I'm not loyal to the post-December 2015 PGI, but if they return to their original values...well I have been spending thousands on other games but could just as easily spend it on MWO.

I think you have that wrong, I'm pretty sure he is upset over the eligibility for said free soup.

I know exactly what is going on, Quick. I'm in the same boat many of you are in. On the Clan side alone, I have a Kodiak pack that has base + Spirit Bear. I have a Clan wave III up to the Cauldron born. I have a full Huntsman package. I can either pay an extra $20.00 into the Kodiak pack, an extra $30.00 into the Clan Wave pack to qualify... or, I could get a refund on the Huntsman of $70.00 and use a portion of that to upgrade the Clan Wave pack and pocket the rest.

Is PGI going about this the right way? Not at all... but they're still offering free stuff for the content I did purchase, and I'll have the option to upgrade later should something more interesting than the Summoner variants become available next year.

Just chalk me up as grateful for the things PGI have given me for free and indifferent to the extra money they are trying to generate with the required purchase of the Collector Packs.

Wow. Thanks for showing me that I spent 300 + dollars on this game this year, and yet somehow I am not loyal. Smfh.

I'm actually at the point of considering asking for refunds on my Cyclops, Night Gyr, Huntsman, and Marauder 2c.

Come on, Tina.

You used to have silly haiku competitions and do monthly community showcases of community creations and stuff. Now you're hardly posting anymore, except to moderate tiny infractions.

What happened?

That isn't what he is saying. What he is saying that PGI is arbitrarily saying certain customers are somehow more loyal than others regardless of money spent. That isn't a particularly good way to show customer appreciation, however it is a good way to potentially do harm to your bottom line.

Hardly. They are only using collectors packs for qualification. If they were using ultimate packs that would be a different story.

For free stuff, its a pretty fair deal. If you don't like it, then simply don't buy them.

Its rewarding people who spent some decent cash on the game, if you didn't then maybe you don't deserve the reward? Lol.

I don't qualify either tbh, but fair play to people that do, i won't lose any sleep over it.

You made me laugh. Damn you!

I find this a very depressing customer appreciation because it doesn't take into account everything you buy.

People of such quality of character that are driven away by something as trivial as this are not people I'm worried about.

I hope you don't own a business or plan to go into business for yourself with that kind of attitude. There is nothing wrong with the character of the people that feel mistreated by a company they are spending money with taking their business elsewhere, and even if there was something wrong with their character money is money.
So you know what he is saying but choose to twist what was said into something else? I do hope someone complaining about the character of others sees the humor in that line of thinking..?

Escef is right though...rules are rules and it works that way in real life.

For example, Guy A is a swimmer that goes to college (let's call it "Stanford"), while Guy B works at a fast food restaurant in the inner city (we'll call it "Inglewood"). Both of them end up with sexual assault charges but Guy A qualifies for the "6 month felony sexual assault" program because his family is wealthy and influential. Guy B ends up qualifying for the "25 years to life felony sexual assault" program because he is poor and could only afford a public defender.

Is that how it should work? Probably not but people should stop worrying about how things work that they can't control and focus on moving forward and not letting trivial details get to you.

Having come to late to this edition of redundant thread repeating what has been beaten into the ground in the other threads on this same topic; all I want to know is what did Tarogato post that was so offensive that it was deemed worthy of redaction?

I assume it was the worst possible offense known to mankind.

Maybe you should have bought the correct mech packs to qualify? Don't worry...there's still time to upgrade the packs to qualify!

Doh! Just realized I asked a question about moderation with my post above.
And that is a COC violation.
Forgive me. I was legit curious and did not mean to discuss moderation per se.

Am I supposed to buy the top pack of every pack?

If so,no thanks.

There's chassis I have from every one that qualifies. And some of htem are not worth buying(and some mechs don't interest me,such as the Pedoack)

Post #211 of the announcement of the loyalty appreciation program in the announcements sub-forum, addresses all the whining complaints...and did it three days ago...yet some trolls just have to keep beating the dead horse posting up the same crap theories they have that justifies them getting all the freebies.

My big huge problem with the whole thing is that I (and my friends) pre-ordered the top tier pack, and so are punished. We bought the stinking pack, but we bought it too soon. We are being punished for being loyal and prompt.

That's not likely to happen again. This whole thing has soured us on buying any more of those type of packs.

I can only hope that some gaming site picks this issue up and runs with it.
images of transverse 2.0 debacle drift through my head and bring a smile to my lips.

BTW, no matter what I spend on this game, PGI probably shouldn't consider me loyal.

If you bought it last year before Oct 6th, you already qualified for the 2015 appreciation rewards. That was explained in the announcement about it LAST YEAR.

What do you have? Some sort of elitist or exclusion complex? Seriously what gives, and how do you manage to come across like you have a severely nasal tone in your posts?You seem to misunderstand myself as well as a good contingent of the members that have posted on here;

Allow me to clarify;

Posted Image

I'm a loyal customer and have supported this game in a large way, not as extreme as some, but very much more than your average. Not to mention, the above are just my personal purchases. I have further supported this game by holding contests on ILIKERICE's Phree Phract Phriday thread, maybe you've heard of it. On that alone, I've given something to the tune of 9-12 mech packages. You want to get into semantics? I could say I am more loyal than your whiteness, considering that I have attempted to maintain others interests in this game by giving them new shiny toys to play with. Not that I do it for that purpose, just happens to be a side effect I imagine, i don't know, because PGI tries pretty hard to scare its fan base away.

Can I buy those collector packs? Absolutely. That's not the point, or the question at hand. The question is how can one define loyalty in such a bizarre fashion, so late (8.5 months along) and not expect some seriously negative feedback.
Sadly, this chagrin has come to be the norm as of late, albeit entirely justified.

So yeah, I'm pretty f#@king loyal. Those "rules"? you can shove' em where the sun don't shine son.

At the very least, there should be a parallel monetary goal.

Oh hey, PGI is hiring, look at that guys

unlikely. this is a lower mid-grade video game... its not like #pinkgate which happened on a site with a 100k users every day and brought attention from an entire major consumer industry.

Eh, it was a pointless poist. On topic: i am of the belief that it should have been a combination of packs adding up to 80 dollars, not just 2 collectors packs.
