Hmmm, I am thinking it will be an IS mech. Light or Medium.

Bushwacker 55 tons has 3 variants that have current in game items with 5 variants possible.

Clint 40 tons has 4 variants that have current in game items with 8 variants possible and 1 Named Hero/Champion version.

Daimyo 40 tons has 4 variants that have current in game items with 4 variants possible.

Dervish 55 tons has 5 variants that have current in game items with 7 variants possible and 2 Named Hero/Champion

Falcon 30 tons has 4 variants that have current in game items with 7 variants possible and 1 Named Hero/Champion

There is another half dozen or more IS Light/Medium mechs to pick from.

Me Personally I would take the Bushwacker for IS, then Follow that up with the Black Lanner for Clan then follow that up with an IS Assault then another grouping of Clan mechs.

HC was an ill-conceived concept to bring a game designed to be rather simple and (for a lack of better term) arcadey to become more TT. Yeah some people liked it, but it cut NBT's numbers by more than half.

Camo aside, I really like how this looks. It's definitely a bit bulkier than I remember from MW3/MW4, but that goes for most of PGI's redesigns. Hitboxes are what I'm curious about.

Holy hell. Why the frell would they put the autocannon in the ST?! One of the reasons I liked the bushwacker was the AC mounted in the nose.

Edit: Heck, the hardpoints are all over the place

It's on the arm. The angle just makes it look odd.

I didn't join MWO till Feb 6th, and pulled my data from a combination of sources. With me using highest probability and erroring on the side of "if I was the Dev, what would I pick."

Can't think of any version carrying an AC10 in the nose.. Only could fit light ac there anyhow... Meh.

If I get my hands on one, first thing I'll do is put the autocannon in the nose. I don't care how.

We'll see. I've always preferred putting an AC/5 in the nose in MW4. (Rotary AC/5 anyone?)

Meh, the balance was better than in Mektek's mod and the micro-slots mad the hardpoint system better because it was more granular so I was ok with the loss of the "arcadey" feel.

It's not impossible... one of the MG's is nearly at the tip of the nose... you could fit an AC there right?...

FedCom Civil War actually ended in early 3067. 3075 is mid Jihad (which ignited shortly after the FedCom ended). And of course the FedCOm War was the grist for MW4 and MC2.

I do think the immediate aftermath of the actual Jihad could be interesting, but the actual Republic of the Sphere/ Mechwarrior Dark Age era.... is too artificially thrown together even by Battletech standards for my tastes, so yeah, no rel interest there.

I must say, a game set in the Hegemony Campaign of the Amaris Civil War (2772) and running thru the Usurpers demise, and then having DLC starting with the House Lords stripping Kerensky of his command and responsibilities/ being the units left behind during the Exodus.... , would make my inner fanboy gack out pretty hard.

Thanks for the fix- I meant to say 3065.

And the whole 'artificially thrown together' is exactly what I mean. It's time to buff those scratches out and make it feel more natural. After all BT is not a stranger to fixing stuff up and retcon- yes, it's annoying like hell when it achieves nothing or it removes something we love/ an event... however I do not know how many people will miss the Jihad... Posted Image

Also the whole Amaris civil war would be great..Posted Image

Hoping they are true to the ortho, this is one instance the ortho is better than the concept, IMO Though I'd really love to see the orthos with MW4 type scissor knees.

What is this abomination? The arms are supposed to be spread out, like the EBJ. I do not like this version. Unless the angle is making it look weird.

You may as well accept the fact that regardless of any Mech's previous game iterations or "lore look", PGI's version is going to be a very condensed, compacted version thereof... Because reasons. I've no doubt that regardless of Alex's brilliant artistic talent, he has been given specific 'guidelines' by certain PGI senior staff within which he must work... So he's really doing the best he can with what he has. Just look at the Timberwolf and Mad Dog arms/legs - Wrong for ages. Only recently have the Legs been addressed for them (And hands for Mad Dog), but the arms are still a far cry from visually accurate no matter what variation you choose to source.

In all likelihood, the BSW is going to be a too-tall Medium with disproportionately long legs and a torso that looks like it got sent through a car crusher.
