yeah I was really hoping for Assassin myself, though this will probably generate more sales for PGI due to nostalgia. Assassin just would have had a lot of potential as a high speed harasser.

I really doubt it will sell well but I'll never be able to prove it.

I don't thin k anything is selling like they were at the beginning of the year, but as you said, proving it is another story. That said, it does seem like they are aiming for the low hanging fruit, trying to get the nostalgia sales.... And it will probably sell better than the Assassin or Vulcan would have.
That said, the Crusader would likely have sold twice as many units as the BSW will..... but I think too may of the old guard and whales just don't care anymore. The atmosphere and enthusiasm that allowed the Urbanmech to happen? I don't think it would have met it's minimum sales goal were it to have been released today. There just seems to be that much of a pall over this whole game, overall.

Consumer interest is at an all time low and the solution is (wait till MechCon), and for those who do wait the backlash if disappointed will be much worse.

The only thing I'm interested in buying now is the Warhammer IIC.
After that, no cashey money until I see PvE.

I've noticed something odd while trying to edit the mech in the orthographic. There is something wrong going on around the torso area of the frontal view. The torso laser is kind of obviously stretched (or crushed) and the housing is a rectangle, not a square. The lens seems to be circular by the pixels, but it sure looks odd. Then from the frontal ortho view, the waist joint seems misaligned or asymmetrical unlike the rear view.

They just announced the functional closure of FW. It's likely PGI is investing in a new game and keeping investment in MW:O to a minimum and hoping people buy mech packs anyway.

PVE has been a big push for me too.
So would you be more likely to buy stuff knowing that PVE is the next step or learning that 90 days from now? Yes I know your answer would be now.

ORLY? I must have missed that... Then again, these days I've hardly been paying attention.

I'm not falling for that "90 Days Out" or "We're Working On It" or "Soon" felgercarb.

Yeah. Pretty much a lot of just closing up shop on stuff and proposed changes. Nothing really to bring people in, just trying to deal with people getting matches still as everyone leaves.
It's like a shop that's closing just cleaning and removing shelves and moving what's left up near the front instead of putting up new stock. They may not have a 'going out of business sale' in the window but it doesn't take a genius to see what's happening.

I may just get a refund for the packs yet to be delivered with this news, not that I care about FW, but them giving up on it is never a good sign.
