And thirdly no one wants to wait 15 to 30 minutes only to get stomped by elite groups.

What did you think was going to happen when you came into a non matchmaking environment designed around group play. Groups who are coordinated and can play well are going to be in queue.

I imagine that would be less of a problem though if they did not have to wait that 15 minutes to get that game and did not have to wait another 15 minutes to get a new one which a problem PGI is trying to address by making it IS vs Clan.

For the most part, factions don't matter, now.. or, rather, won't when this hits in a few months. It's all Clan vs Inner Sphere.

Get rid of factions? I say:

I want Pat Kell to tell me I am disgruntled again ...
Round table ? Weeks later they came up with that ? That solution was also mentioned on the forum months before they thought about it.
No increase in population in the fixes, again the damn buckets.

On the plus side, they finally nerfed LT.
BUT WE NEED MOAR PLAYERS !!!

YAWN why do we care the FP game mode is dead and PGI and devs don't care it did not work out the way (THEY!) wanted it so they just toss FP on the garbage pile.

But all is well new mech pack coming out soon that the last 5000 players can buy all is well. ROFL

And to all those people who are constantly bringing PGI down and advocating or predicting it's failure, please do the rest of us a favor and go do something else with your valuable time. Not all of us have given up yet and your posts are not helpful constructive or wanted. You are of course free to type anything you want, I just don't understand why you would spend so much time focusing on something that you don't like. Go find another game, go get a hobby, do anything else you want and let the grown ups talk about what we can do to help this situation rather than fending off or arguing with people who don't care about the game. Just go away.

Calling someone on their BS isnt bringing them down. FP would have plenty of players, like the millions that bought into what PGI was selling 4 years ago, if PGI could deliver what it promised. People tend to get upset if you lie to them over and over. They also deal with it differently.

PGI isnt going to do anything about FP. FP is no longer their target audience, they have said it before. You live on an island. Buy a mech pack and be happy they havent turned off the lights on you.

If you want a gamemode that is a tactical challenge, that plays different each time and where none of this "everyone balls up at the same spot and start shooting each other" is happening over and over again.....

if this is the case, I may as well abandon my faction now, and make a quick run though some others to collect a few free mech bays before they collapse it all and steal my potential rewards.

This sucks, how hard was it to get this right? I mean the battletech world was already pre-built for PGI

We needed Factories, Salvage, an Economy.

I think its because PGI can't code any of this.

I'm waiting for the next battletech game, hopefully pgi will sell and a new company will fix the game.

Till than ill watch from afar, but i'm going to find a new game to play.

Joking aside, the two groups do not want the same game and will never get along. PGI is drifting further towards mercs and they will loose people to HBS.

The type of MWO players who view the HBS Battletech game as a substitute rather than a complement to MWO were never going to stick around anyway. PGI should give exactly zero f***s what they think.

I think that's generalizing too much with a very wide brush. MWO being a really colossal disappointment would be reason enough not to stick around.

MWO Players only view HBS as a substitute because the development of MWO isnt turning out the way we all hoped. If PGI made CW amazing, than HBS would be a compliment and not a substitute.

What I meant was that MWO players come in three varieties: those that care about gameplay, those that care about lore, and those that care about both. The players that only care about lore are irrelevant to the discussion now that the the HBS BT game is in the pipeline. The only thing that matters now is gameplay -- reducing wait times, removing LT, adding QP maps to FP, etc.

The crazy thing is is people have been asking for the reduction of factions so that games happen quicker and such and such and such.

Truly, PGI cannot win with some members no matter how hard they try. Thankfully, as a Clan Diamond Shark member I don't really care about your factions and if the options are split the factions until every clan is represented, or have a true invasion like scenario I'd take the latter most days (well, if the population were different perhaps the former but it's not).

You got to have some sort of Lore, most of the players are in their 30's+ who used to play the older games. This is the baseline. CW really needs the ability to have factories, refit and rearm, etc. The issue isn't if we should have lore or not. The issue is that PGI just doesn't have the coding skills to implement the lore.

I'm sure the amount of players who ONLY care about lore are few anyway, i think 90 percent of the baseline is Lore+Gameplay.

So i guess your right the players who think only about lore are irrelevant because thats just impossible.

PGI should follow some sage advice.

Stop chasing freaking squirrels, the whole Battletech universe has been given to you.
