...Metroplex doesn't really look like the SDF-01. There are significant difference between them.
Unless you just mean 'city sized robot,' in which case look, it's two more Metroplex copies!
I hate to be that guy but Warhammer 40k Titans are copied from the Nemesis the Warlock strip in 2000AD.
Thats from 1983. Indeed much of the 40k universe is copied from that strip. There is an empire based on Earth that fights chaos and cleanses deviants using terminators. The big difference is the humans are the bad guys and are explicitly fascist.

That's the thing about 40k, there is no good guy, everyone is shades of grey... As for the Imperium of Man in 40k, damn right they are fascists....

The Tau are very light grey. The Farsight Enclave is probably the "least terrible' faction out there morality-wise.

Nah, they finally fixed that. They just do their genocides through brain washing and sterilization.
If anything, the Tau are the worst faction now. Everyone else is at least honest about what they're up to.

I can't comment on the similarities between the settings, but luckly, I can comment on that picture, and that comment is 'Not even close.'

The leader of Earth in Nemesis the Warlock, Torquemada, is the reincarnation of the Witchfinder General Matthew Hopkins, Adolph {Godwin's Law} and his namesake, the original Torquemada.

Isn't Armored Core dead? Or is it just at the point where most people wish it was?
From Sotfware still busy with Dark Souls. But their President hinted that new Armored Core is still in works after they done with Souls Series.

Yea.... not so much anymore...
Sounds like I missed something then. I'd rather stay willfully ignorant about it.

Its the only image I can find online but several of the artist on the Nemesis strip also worked on the original 40k art.

I mentioned the nausea but didn't mention the smothering depression caused by the realization that by playing this game and frequenting this forum I am mingling with the aforementioned 'boos.
I lost a good friend to that culture. [sheds a tear] I can still see the cat ears and the disappointment in his father's eyes.

I don't know what to tell you.
I suppose you could argue the intent was similar, but the execution is so distinct that the end results are completely different. 40K titans are castle's given legs, gothic structures that have risen up like medieval transformers.
That thing you posted in basically a giant Conquistador with ships for shoes. Which does, I suppose, make it pretty close to a lot of the Warhammer Fantasy knights (Which is where Warhammer 40Ks stuff comes from, of course).
