Depends entirely on how high PGI puts the ballistics on the PHX-IIC.

The real salt-inducer is going to be the LCT-IIC.

I would so run the lore build of 2 UAC/10's and 2 MGs.

that's tempting to do I been lately thinking about doing it for my TBR-D, also I want this mech to do jazz hands.

Basing off the artwork I'm gonna say Kodiak-3 high.

I think because Marauder IIC can hold similar or more weapons comparing with KDK (e.g. Scorch vs SB) in spite of being lighter with 15 tons, it should be nerfed also. Or it is going to be nerfed... after being allowed to purchase with C-bills? Posted Image

Exactly the same firepower. Well.. almost. SB has only 1 ballistic hardpoint.

SB: (imaginary 2xuac5): http://mwo.smurfy-ne...5fbef520bb700d7

Scorch: http://mwo.smurfy-ne...421750130889125

I think PGI should release well balanced mechs and should consider mech size, max speed, empty space, shape and some other attributes and these things should be balanced. It is not too difficult science.

you're right. Marauder IIC is OP because it is better than the victor. lets remove quirks from it! oh wait...

Was wondering when this would show up.

Everything is OP when you either don't own it, can't afford it, don't have access to it, replaces your previous favorite mech or can't be used by your faction of choice.

Based on the KDK-3 we can expect 8 ballistic hardpoints on the PHX-IIC.
And if PGI really wants to push the sales they'll just opt in for the 3069 PHX-IIC-5 with dual hyper assault 20 gaussrifles and quad anti personnal gaussrifles...

Based on KDK-3 salt, I wouldn't put it past them to make them Mauler high instead.

This mech has a huge profile and players can't even hit the same spot on it?

Yeah...the MAD-IIC loses side torsos like...mad. Way faster than the IS version. If it were an IS 'Mech, I would say "absolutely not" to XL engines, that's how fast they go poof.

So far my mastered MAD-3R has been stomping the floor of the clan knockoffs.

I was pounding on several with this MAD-5M last night. Of course, their positioning was usually terrible, so it wasn't a fair trade...

You can fit Ferro Fib

MAD-3R

This is how I would set up the same mech, much more DPS with double tapping than the one you posted.

I got tired of having to remove FF every time I switch up builds, so I just leave it off.

Yeah, I tried that build before but I seem to have bad luck with IS UAC5's jamming alot so I don't really use them on many of my builds anymore.

MAD-IIC is pretty much a clan stalker. Optimal tonnage at 85, great weapons load outs/hard points, good hitboxes if you know how to wiggle. I don't know that it's OP, but much like the Stalker, I expect it will be consistently strong.

The hitboxes are broken. 45° to the side and u will pretty consistantly see dmg vanishing into thin air.

There was one instance of someone nailing me within 200 meters with double gauss and it did nothing, but when I checked their name and ping they were someone I knew from oceanic and were sitting on a good 650, soooooooo....... Iunno.

That's typical, though. I've had that happen to basically every 'Mech I own. I can say that every MAD-IIC I've shot has taken the damage properly, though.

I've been pretty regularly facing down MAD-IICs in my 5 ML and AC/20 Cataphract and winning. But yes, you are right. The Marauder IIC is Totes McScrotes OP. It's just that the Cataphract is a little more OP, right?

Seriously dude, I hope you're a troll.
