Marauder Iic Op

Its only ok to make posts about new tech and underpowered mechs here.
Its also never ok to state clan mechs are OP because then the clan trolls come out to tell you how stupid you are.
People around here wouldn't know what balance was if they were forum posting from a balance beam.

Per the assault Leaderboard this is the ranking per chassis (Variants for the Maurader IIc)
Kodiak
Battle master
Dire Wolf
Warhawk
King Crab
Maurader IIc + [S]
Stalker
Banshee
Executioner
Awesome
Mauler
Highlander IIC
Gargoyle
Mad IIC 8
Mad IIC scorch
Atlas
Mad IIC A
Highlander
Zeus
Mad IIC D
Mad IIC C
Victor
Mad IIC B
The top performer might need tweaked a bit but the chassis is not the end all be all. Hell certain Variants are scoring less than a victor.

Leaderboards are no indicator at first because not everyone that has their shiny new mechs actually knows how to play or build them and not everyone that would know owns them yet.

On the other hand, that is me trying to play the MAD-IIC-B mid-close-range like it's a MAD-5D. I have no idea how the higher-damage and/or longer-range variants play.

However pretty much all the leaderboard are in the the same boat. The leaderboard comes out about a week after the mech releases and only maybe 5000 people who pre-ordered them play them so there is a level of consistency across the board when comparing the leaderboard scores.

The other 2c's and Marauder 2 would be great to see, I don't think you will see your Timberwolf 2 as its deployment date falls outside the period MWO pulls from.

The leaderboard prizes are gone these past few mech releases. So endlessly grinding for that freak kill streak that gets you to top spot is an even more pointless exercise.
Couple that with the lamest event in ages that doesn't even have marauder specific goals and I'd suggest the effort being put into it has changed a lot from past leaderboards.

I play the IIIC-A with 2 PPC and 2 LB10X on one side, and then my shield left side has 2 flamers only. I shield with the left, which soaks a lot of damage (even the gauntlet catches hits), It sucks if I am up closer and I already got my flamers destroyed, because those are super handy for stopping me from losing against scorches and -B.

I dont even wanna get this thing near a brawl in its current state of mobility.. And i hate people thinking this thing should be near the front of a fight.. and as for all the hardpoints yeah i dont reall use all of em.. clan lasers run so hot that taking an extra ML or MLPL could mean worse heat and less heat sinks i'd rather be taking with hot weps.. i dont see using the MPLS cause this thing sucks for mobitly in close range.. plus that would mean less heat sink for a crappy damage increase and a range resuction..
I''m guessing the really performing builds were a bunch of LL or LPL running on macro chanfire to avoid ghost heat.. I saw multi PPC (4) builds that had to back down away from me in sniper duels using a ppc and 2LL cause they couldnt hang with the heat i guess. like not even poking just stand and blast at range till one of us gets hot and backs down guess who would flinch..

If you shoot a MAD-IIC, no matter where you aim, you hit ST. Try it sometime...unless you are dead on and shoot the nose, you hit ST aiming for any area near center of mass.

I can reliably hit what I want as well...but I have noticed trying to finish off cored CTs that you can literally neuter a ST so fast their head spins.

I'm getting tired of telling people this, but.. Don't poke against PPC Assaults, m'kay? That's literally the best possible situation for them. It's like flying a B-17 at low altitude and complaining that ground based AA is too powerful.
