She'll always be remembered as long as people watch Star Wars and the other films she had parts in. I had some one tell me this concerning death and grieving: "As long as a person is remembered they never truly die."
I agree this year has been pain. Lost one relative in june and spent this holiday with another on their death bed being told they have two weeks at best.
I thought bbc america was playing star wars until I noticed the ticker. Just like when I saw the towers on fox news get hit the shock and disbelief were hard to cope with then reality sets in.

The 2016 celebrity casualty list also includes:
George Michael --- singer, songwriter
Richard Adams --- author of Watership Down
Vera Rubin --- brilliant astrophysicist who confirmed the existence of dark matter.
The crash of a Russian military transport recently wiped out the famed Alexandrov Ensemble, also known as the Red Army Choir.
In commemoration for the tragic loss for our music culture.

I mean, he didn't do much. I mean, he only cured smallpox. No big deal. No reason for anyone to know or care about it.
This year needs to end already.

I heard about the crash, but I had no idea who the passengers were until now, since I was trying to avoid news about it because of all the garbage already happening. Can someone make manikins and plaster "2016" on their faces and chests, then mail it to everyone in the world to destroy however they want? I'd highly appreciate it.

A day after her daughter too.
Carrie was/is of my generation, her mother Debbie, was/of of my parents.
This is such sad news, I just cannot express it.

After this past year and how bad it was for everyone with what we faced, with what is in store we will look back at 2016 with fond memories of how good it was...

Carrie Fisher was just a few years older than mysef and in my mind atleast, she'll always be that sexy tough chick choking Jaba out in a slave girl get up.
Rest in Peace Carrie..
Debbie Reynolds, her mother, died the following day of a stroke, after hearing of Carrie's death - she said she missed her and wanted to be with her.
