Or windows is running routinely scheduled defrag.

Or there are strange windows apps like WWAHost.exe running.

I've noticed some of those apps prevent damage from registering.

My favorite what the heck one is "vprot.exe"
But many can often be found that just aren't necessary.

This is incorrect, the ERLL is barely useful, that goes for IS and Clan versions, and the LL is bad, enough so that the ERLL may as well be a straight upgrade over it. The main IS weapon in FW is the LPL, and that's it. Clans get vastly better Gauss, better ERPPCs, half-weight SRMs, and actually useful small and medium class lasers.

These fanatic fanbois defending Clan mechs in this matter, are just afraid they will have to rebuy their "garage" and fill it with other then Clanmechs again. Understandable.

Yeah, Clan has last tiny advantage, and you trying hard to remove it, so IS tech in MWO can finally be maximum OP.

I see not many Battletech fans among MWO players this days. No one wants the game to be actually close to BT and TT lore and rules.

Well, over the last year the IS must have been OP, but they are not anymore. I mean we've had three de-quirkenings and the rescale. So most of the top mechs are now bigger targets with less quirks than at anytime since quirks were introduced. Exceptions are things like Vindi's, Dragons, Cataphracts, Atlas and other mechs that have all their relevant hardpoints at crotch level or lower.

So if we define "OP" as crappy mechs that don't even sniff the meta, then maybe brroleg is on to something.

Tell ya what, you get PGI to put all my Cataphracts hard points at shoulder height...no...make that even just one of their ballistics hardpoints at shoulder height and I'll be happy to spot you some structure from my OP mech. Give me a clan XL engine too, and I'll gladly lose all my bonus structure, if my weapons and heat sinks take up as little volume and weigh what their clan equivalents do then I'll gladly lose the rest of the weapons and performance quirks too.

Tiny? It's the largest disparity in the game

If we had Battletech TT rules, then the engine advantage would be tiny.

And every other thing in the game would be heavily, heavily, HEAVILY slanted towards the clans.

Is that you're problem? Were you that guy who played Clans on TT before BV was a thing, min maxed every Omnimech, then threw Zellbrigen out the window before the first dice were rolled? Is that where balance sits for you?

For every 1.5 IS DHS clans get 2...

2+2=4 3+3=6

You cant fit 4 Slots of equipment into 3 slots in your mech.

I wasn't saying that I can fit 2 C-DHS inside of 1 IS DHS.

I was saying if I can put 1 IS DHS on my mech, then clans can put 2 C-DHS on theirs due to clan weapons taking up less slots and their C-DHS is only 2 slots.

So if I'm running 2xERLL in each ST on my warhammer then that means I can only put 2 DHS in each ST,
however if that warhammer had clan tech the C-ERLL would take only 1 slot and the C-DHS 2 slots, so that means my warhammer with clan tech could fit 5x C-DHS in each ST while IS could only fit 2x in each ST.

We started with some maybe hit reg issue and are finally at this point again?

About your tiny advantage - first why do they need any?
A small history lesson all the clan equipment is today the buffed version of the July 2014 clan tech and even back then the first tests resulted in what 73% victory for Clans?
This was a time prior to Kodiak, Ebon Jaguar, Night Gyr....

The only thing IS had are some funky seasonal Quirks that come and go based on the lobby work of some vocal minorities.

And when you talk about lore and Clan advantage I really would advice you to take your time and think about PvP reality

Agree. Cause its the only disparity that left.

Instead of balancing Clan vs IS in lore-way, when Clan mechs is trully overpowered, but less numerous, and IS is not so strong but in large numbers(so in terms of our game it could simply be much Lower tonnage limit for clans, while clan mechs being very strong) - We got situation where Clan and IS mech is almost equal, and we get "CS rush b" game type instead of Mechwarrior game.

You cannot balance a game based on team numbers. That's just the way it is. Not only does it not work (They tested it, and all other things being equal, even going 10 to 12 leads to a hilariously lopsided victory for the side with more mechs), but you can't trust 50 thousand players to self load, asking some of them to accept that they're driving **** heaps, and some of them to accept they'll always be outnumbered. It never works. It's not even working now, where slight tonnage disparities are apparently throwing everything to ****.

But no, the fact is you don't give two shits about balance. You just want to pilot an OP mech while beating the snot out of players who have no answer to what you're carrying.

Vile.

Because now Clan and IS mech effectively equal, and tonnage disparities throwing everything to **** - proves it.

For tonnage disparities to work, Clan mechs should be really lore-level overpowered.

and some of them to accept they'll always be outnumbered.

So why dont take matching system from Lore?

Make clan/unit leaders actually a thing. And give them powers to decide with how many tonnage disparities their unit/clan will attack planet. And how much reward for successful attack they get is based on the % of disparities. They can go 1:1 against IS, but in this case they and all their clan/unit get almost no reward for battle.

Great now Smoke Jaguar is having genetic defects.

Clammers will do anything to keep they're broken, overpowered toys. Rather disgusting. Would love it if everyone switched sides. All these Clammers played IS and all us long suffering IS go to the Clams and see if they keep singing the same tune.

From Lore prospective

IS being = Clan
same as
IS being OP

Some numbers to consider.

IS Variants 5% Quirk: 9
IS Variants 10% Quirk: 77
IS Variants 15%+ Quirk: 3

Lights:
5% - 2
10% - 16
15%+ - 0

Total IS Light Variants 40

Mediums:
5% - 4
10% - 21
15%+ - 1

Total IS Medium Variants 68

Heavys:
5% - 1
10% - 18
15%+ - 1

Total IS Heavy Variants 61

Assaults:
5% - 2
10% - 22
15%+ - 1

Total IS Assaults: 59

Total IS Variants with Weapon specific energy quirk: 15

Total IS Variants Overall: 228
Total IS Variant with a Weapon Quirk: 77

~ 1/3 of IS variants have an energy quirk, though this doesn't account for variants that don't have the ability to mount more than one or two, or have them in the CT spots and are limited to large lasers or smaller.

Max Energy Points on any IS mech: 9
Max Energy Points on any Clan mech: 15

I'm not enough of a mathematician to figure out how many different combinations the clans have with their omnipods, but I'm guessing it's a lot more than 228 :D

You cant stay true to lore when you make competetive meta game like MWO. Yes its Mechwarrior. But it has to work and be balanced. So you say PGI should let IS have 20v12 in FW? Comon...

Just take WoT for example when it comes to scaling down or up different tanks to make it balanced.
