Not that I have anything against the 2 choices (love the Annihilator). But it seemed like a no brainer to send out IS Omnimechs with all the new tech right away, This update screams bringing IS on par with Clan Omni on both side would sure be a step there.

RACs should be heavier and occupy at least 1 more slot than the normal AC, otherwise we'll se tiny mechs boasting an insanely powerful weapon meant for heavys and assaults; jamming would be no issue for them since they can easily get behind cover and wait it out.

Finally, when the smoke has cleared, the Tech-Barrier will fall with PGI saying "in 3060 all IS units can have Clantech!" and there you go, we all will just drive the Mechs that run the best Meta at the time. I wrote that in this very forum 2 years ago. Then this game will finally cut all connections that it ever had with BattleTech but the names of the Mechs and weapons. That is the latest point in time where you are better off playing Counterstrike.

And, before you start: We made tests to run 10vs12 with Stock Mechs. The tonnage-relation to make it work (and great fun) is 1.4, just in case you want to try. We ran a campaign in this mode and it felt finally like it should (both sides)!
that's never going to happen because it would cause huge matchmaking problems.

While my clan mechs may cry a bit (atms and heavy lasers, thank you....thank you....) this is awesome.
Being a mostly clan player however! a bump to 3069 would be nice.
In that time period, generally clans and IS have a good veriety of tech on both ends.
Untill 3069 clans dont produce RACS or HAGS. (hags being the clan response to the IS heavy gauss)
AND! everyone gets machinegun arrays, and plasma weapons! (plasma rifle for IS, more damage, less heat damage. plasma cannon for clan, more heat damage, less regular damage)
Personally i wont wine, timeline is timeline.
Hopefully soon after, this next update, we can move forward 2 more years and even the variety playing field even more
(IS still gets more options but hey, least we could have racs n hags )

Kodiak and Dire Wolf are definitely gonna have some serious competition between the Annihilator and the other IS Ballistic guys getting access to those new Ballistics we get

Hell they cheated the timeline with the bushwacker, do it with clan racs and hags.
Clan kinda needs those weapons to be equivalent
Aside from that, we need plasma and mg arrays dangit XD!

@Dragoon: No Clan RACs. They were only ever experimental. if they started giving out experimental weapons, the IS would be getting about seven more weapon systems, like the Blazer and SBG. Clan RACs in fact mostly got canned because of the HAG showing up.
@Mechanic: Honestly, you probably WANT that Jam. since without it, your mech is likely to cook. my unit did some math, and you could overheat a Mech boating RACs in roughly three seconds, judging with 1 heat per shot, roughly 8 shots a second per RAC. Adds up pretty damn fast. Course, you could also do 33.3 damage in a second with a pair of RAC/2s, so it really is a decent tradeoff.
