I'm so, so tempted to buy a couple of the basic packs but the lack of included premium time makes it a bit too hard to justify for me I think. :\

If they throw in the Nova Cat with both the Fafnir and Blood Asp along with a Crusader, then I'd say that the package would make one helluva deal.

Im gonna buy all the Cougars, once I get my salary for sure. Didnt get the Flea, the Raptor, Fire Moth or the Owens but the Cougar was my second wish. Very happy to see it.
I might get some kind of pack tier regarding the Uziel and MC MK II but probably not the Annihilator, I cant stannd the looks, not even Alex could polish that thing. But all those ballistics.. they are one big reason to get it, still..

I guess the reason its not included is to press down the prices on the packs. But Im not sure, someone with math and economics might tell us the reasoning behind it.

Slashed premium time, the Clans getting a mech made for sale to the IS, medium that has 'same value' as assault mechs, the Mad Cat MkII gets delayed for mc/cbill release, still no 20-ton Clan mech, no word on whether the annihilator will be able to boat more than two gauss rifles like it should... What's to love in this pack?

@Kael: The Gausszilla is Apocryphal. also, it requires crit-sharing. plus they might limit us to two Gauss (except possibly light gauss) around the time of the Skill tree, because i believe they were planning to can the chargeup.

Also, bear in mind a few things. the Mad Cat Mk. II was made for sale to the IS, sure, but it was still sold to the Clans as well, and the name stuck. It's also still a decent powerhouse of an assault. The Cougar is a light that can outgun most IS Heavies. The Annihilator finally gives the Kodiak and Dire Wolf some competition for "ridiculous firepower" and the Uziel is a good all-rounder for IS mediums.

They're all solid mechs. Have been in every iteration of the games they've been in. highly doubt that's gonna change here.

the dire wolf and kodiak can do quad gauss, i see no reason why the annihilator would be unable to.

No premium time in the standard pack. And no 60 days in the Collectors Pack. I was going to buy it, but not until you change it. I need the premium time. Lucky I'm not a fan boy and have to buy these "packs". I'll just take the free new tech.

The ANH-1G mounts (and can fire) 3 gauss rifles at once.

The Direwolf and Kodiak can mount them, sure, but they cannot fire all four.

as far as i know that was only part of the proposed energy draw changes, though i guess they may revisit that idea at some point.

@Cou: cept maybe for Light Gauss. but that's mostly because they're a lot less damaging.

@Kael: the 1G also isn't in the game, so.. yeah. not that you can't copy the build, of course.
