There's a Clan assault mech in the 3055 (maybe?) TRO that's like 80 tons and has legs so thin they might as well be made of string. I looks like a flamingo.

EDIT: this thing http://www.sarna.net...k_Python_(Viper)

One of the most lethal heavy clan mechs conceivable and it has a cool name.

...But it gets drawn as a chibi jet fighter with a long arms and robo-bird legs. And it's waving at someone.

well one of the view drawings were the Reseen looks much better - although it looks more like a cobra

I think I might hate that one even more on account of it lacking a distinguishing style. I could at least work with the chicken and make it cool.

The worst mech design ever though is the Firemoth. Unless you go full retcon, it's always going to have those upside down arms that prohibit it from ever looking cool.

Time to lobby PGI and get the thing in-game.

A later rendition turns it into a Super Saiyan Cougar.

After seeing how PGI treated the Whalehammer IIC, though, I'm less enthusiastic about this chassis. The WHM-IIC has its handful of direct fire weapons mounted at low to mid heights and that thing gets 75 degree twist radius (worse than most heavier Clan assaults) and overall slow responsiveness in all main categories (accel, turn rate, etc.).

I don't even want to imagine how PGI would brutalize this mech's mobility.

Dervish has been removed. Predicting Clan Light or Medium next. Probably Locust IIC or Shadow Hawk IIC.

I'll take bets adding the Griffin IIC with that predictions.

I wouldn't be opposed to a Urbie IIC announcement for April. Keep that IIC train rolling.

Might actually be Urbie IIC

As much as i hate IIC mechs, people seem to love them around here, so it's probably gonna be a thing

So yeah, throwing my vote into Urbie IIC

If its a light I think the Locust IIC is more likely.

I'd actually dig around what's available in 3025 still. You don't have it on your list (BIASED!) but we may get the Clint/Whitworth/Hermes II. Based on the fact we've received the Dervish and Marauder II, I'm guessing there's still an IS Light and Heavy left. Heavy is probably the Crusader. Light would probably be a bug mech or something easy to kill as fodder in the new game.

I'd prefer the Urbs because the Clams already have a good striker light (Fishbot, maybe can count MG boating MLX and ACH) but their current slow lights are poopoo. Lolcust IIC would be a good robbit indisputably but I think Urbs IIC would make a bigger difference in terms of enabling more playstyles.
