Jump jets, ECM, 2x AMS, and 11 energy hardpoints on a 45 ton platform. I mean, wow. A little slow, but still...
Its relation, the Shegenja, is an interesting beasty, too.

Probably due to it is 45 tons boating energy. I mean likely you can get 14ish tons to work with out of it with an XL, strip a bit of an arm. Or you go light engine instead, 4SL 4ML, 2xAMS, ECM, go 97.2kph with 46m of jump height. Not an insane mech, but, would eat light legs. So an interesting option but also a lot of this is fueled by nostalgia from people who played the previous MW titles as well as the TT itself.
The Shugenja, iffy on it, might work, definitely wouldn't have that bar launcher on it as that is left torso not CT or 3 MRM10 launchers spread between RT, CT, and LT. Weapons are pretty well clustered around the cockpit, definitely brings to the table something that the IS does not have currently in the 75 ton bracket. But, it is not a humanoid which is a huge plus in my eyes.

I imagine it'd feel a lot like a pre-rescale nova, but with inferior tech.

Honestly, the Starslayer doesn't sound like a bad option to me either, was there a reason we didn't like that one? I can't remember.
I don't think we had an issue. I did bring up it has weapon bulge syndrome. Basically it's a 50t Shawk 2K

The reason was because it is basically a Hunchback with Jump Jets. There's nothing interesting about it visually, mechanically, or historically and that asymmetry is as much a weakness as it is a boon (how many HBK-IIC-As have you seen with both PPCs in one side?)

I think it had weapons in both side torsos...

Yeah that wouldn't be bad, honestly you can't really do much more than 3LPL though... Could do 3LL with ER MLs I suppose.

3 LPL...so hey... just like almost every other Medium to light "light" Heavy out there.... that sounds really appealing...actually wait.. that sounds like my seldom used vanilla CN9-AL with a different skin.

Lol.
The left torso also has a couple medium lasers. It very much reminds me of a Hunchback IIC-A.

You mean like the Dervish you want, so you can do 4 SRM6A like the Griffin with a different skin? Your right, we should drop both and go with the Men Shen since it has MASC and its an omni so its totally new. Glad we agree

I only had the picture to go on. Where do you guys get the lore allocations? And the more I think about it, the more I am convinced we don't really need any IS Medium that isn't massing 8+ lasers with Jump Jets from a pure function perspective, not now that we are getting LFEs, fancy PPCs, and ERML. We have the HBK-4P and BJ-1X for ground-locked variation, we have the SHD-2K for poptarting, we have the Griffin for SRM bombing, and we have bunches that do ballistics and energy or missiles.
Also, phone posting. Quotes are a nightmare on mobile.

I mean, I'm still down for the MASC/ECM 55 ton omni.. that's new.

Yeah, but I think we have almost everything we need to meet whatever meta solution arises, meaning we can focus more on unique capabilities than performance needs. AKA, interesting things like the Men Shen, BJ-O, etc.
