If you care about horizontal jumping distance, speed and MASC help as demonstrated by the Executioner which can cross the Canyon Network's ravines in a single leap (with MASC on).
More than one of Class I JJs in general is not worth the tonnage and slot.

Aside of the 2Gauss+2ERPPC, it would be able to mount 4x JJs and 12x DHS. Downgrade the engine a little to mount additional DHS (which are still too few - you'll need at least 15-16x DHS for an acceptable heat).

This is a perfect example how PGI could give a mech that is known for their specific weapon, role, ability, etc, to be given quirk to elevate that mech in that role, to encourage that mech to utilize their unique-ness.
The Highlander is one of the those mechs that could seriously benefit from enhanced JJ's, otherwise... the JJ's are left in the hanger.

He found it cheesy or OP or something, I forget his exact response.
He didn't say anything flattering, I'll put it that way.

Wouldn't it be funny if a direwolf poptarted double-gauss-ppc?
The thrust makes it difficult
Especially with your low mounts.

I remember using the K
Restricted to a Gauss instead of paired ACs...which fits with the current state of the game. I think I needed 5 to get acceptable performance...
I haven't used the Victors in ages

They give you better movement route options on other maps as well, but those will be less useful, as you dont have the speed to take advantage of the alternate routes and may find yourself isolated.

JJs on the MADIIC are pretty good, because they only weigh 1 ton.
The 3 JJs on the DWF aren't as powerful, of course, but it's more than enough to be a considerable maneuverability helper.
So anyone saying "forget them on assaults" has no idea what he's talking about.
I never got those strange people who whine about "Hoverjets". This is no japanase toy robot game where everything can fly like a plane. The current JJs are perfect as they are. Only the locked ones are annoying.
