And please start the events on Thursday afternoon so we don't have to listen to our Oceanic friends complain about getting hosed on their Friday night prime time.

Yeah. That was one which made me a little uncomfortable. I was like "Screw the team. I'm gonna go:
* Collect/deliver a battery
* Kill a battery carrier
* Blow up their base
...even though my team probably needs me to be doing something else right now".

An applause to your crew for all the efforts to continually grow the game and encouraging players to play the missions (as opposed to always defaulting to a skirmish mentality) as well as entertaining feedback!
Super Squirrel
P.S. The "Kill the Fuel Cell Carrier" challenge was the only one I didn't manage. It was such a crap-shoot. Despite that one in particular being frustrating it was a logical mission objective, and the entire event IMO was enjoyable.

First:
I want to say sorry for the frustration this event caused everyone. It was not my intention at all.
Second:
We very briefly extended the event to adjust the "All Done" Challenge to only require 7 of 9 challenges complete.
This change allowed players to get the Mech Bay without having to complete the dreaded "Failed Delivery" or "Necessary Roughness" Challenges.
The "extension" was to give the script the chance to run one final time. and the Mechbays were injected.
However, that is not all we are doing.
As a Consolation Prize anyone who completed 1 Match of Incursion with a minimum Match Score of at least 80 (during the Event) will receive the following rewards as our way of saying sorry for the frustration caused by this event.
Consolation Prize -
Anyone who completed 1 Match of Incursion with a minimum Match Score of at least 80 during the event will receive 250,000 C-Bills, 200 MC, and 2 days of Active Premium Time (activates on your next log in).
That covers 99.5 % of the people who played this weekend!
In the interest of transparency...
Here are some additional Completion Stats
First Foray 86.3243%
I've Got The Power 28.1888%
Powered Up 26.2549%
Rock'em 67.9991%
Sock'em 60.2637 %
Delivery Failed 22.1744%
All Your Base 26.0837%
Raid Complete 55.9565 %
Necessary Roughness 57.6313%
All Done 25.3528% (before we changed the requirements)
Lesson Learned:
I based the Actions in the Challenge off 1 days worth of stats from the new Game Mode. More Data would clearly have been preferable.
We needed a way to increase the frequency of a particular Game Mode as a voting option. Currently, we can only adjust Map weighting. However, Mode weighting functionality should arrive with our May patch, so in future mode-related events we won't have this particular issue again.
We hope everyone enjoys the Consolation Prize as things return to normal in the Quick Play Queue.
Our next event will target Faction play....
Rally your Units and Lock in your contracts...
I bet everyone in that .5% of people who are getting nothing are people who, like me, were never offered incursion as an option at any point during the event. Giving everyone else a consolation prize and giving us nothing feels like you're punishing us for the flaws in your system.

I wish that they extended the event itself so that people could focus on the leaderboard more (I only played a few matches in my Roughneck, because I had to use other types for the event objectives). I'll take what I can get, though.
I did manage to get 9/9 before I went to sleep yesterday, but it was very frustrating.

That sort of challenge would be much more skill-based instead of totally luck-based. Although the "matches in a row" requirement would be luck-based as well. A good challenge eliminates luck from the equation.

People need to realise events are to make you play more than you usually play, to get player numbers up and queue times down, their supposed to be a challenge that gets you a sense of accomplishment if you manage to complete it and a sense of dissapointment if you dont, thats how you know your alive. Stop expecting free handouts for failing.
9 of 9 should get extra reward for commitment
But im happy enough to have got the warhorns and the sense of acomplishment of having managed to solo the damn kill fuel cell carrier twice, Having to rebuild my shadowcat to help me do it was fun too since I almost never change mech builds once i've settled on one "best for me" build. The event got me back to tinkering in the mech lab.

Overall I love the (reasonable) challenges and the new game mode, it gives you a lot to do at once in a match.

Really. At this point, why not just extend it to everyone?

I changed up my Mechs depending on what challenge I wanted to go for, but with limited options to even vote for Incursion to begin with, that created a bit of frustration that had nothing to do with my own particular ineptitude at this game.
Add to that one or two very hard challenges that seemed too much on the luck based side of things, and it got a bit sour after trying for several hours over a few days.
I'm one of those not very great players with limited comp time available, so I don't necessarily expect 100% completion most of the time and just get the goodies I can.
I appreciate adjusting to the situation as it developed and deciding to hand out the consolation goodies as well.
Thanks for that. Someone upthread used the work classy. I agree.
One more thing: Please remember the distribution of time zones with your choice of event starting times. Oceania region missed out on their Friday evening again with this event. It seems hit and miss, with some allowing us to use that evening and other events skipping over it.

The Delivery Failed fuel cell kill was the oddball out on the overall challenge targets for sure as the stats illustrate.
Looking forward to see how a "vote to increase frequency of map mode" plays in public queue.
