I went for 2-3 invasion drops with my IS unit (2 full lances) and played ~5 scouts with 1 team mate and 2 PUGs. All matches on the winning side. OK Clanners got PUGs, but in scouting there were 4 man premades couple of times. The bad OP clanners went to sleep. I'm not a competitive played rather average one and my mechs are not fully equipped with modules.

With the current countdown (i.e, 166 hours), that means the competition ends May 14th at UTC 0, which is 8pm USA EST. But the End time says UTC 10:00:00, which is 5am USA EST.
Something is off.

when you Run the scores (All Clan Scores) / (All Scores) = (55% Clan Win Rate)
thats not much in the grand Sceem of things, so i think we are good in that Reguard,
also ive seen the bar go 90%Clan to 30%IS in a matter of hours,
i think its just NA has more Clan Players and EU has more IS players,
as each time zone seems to get different Averages,

this is the merc cancer ive been talking about. well done.
if anyone wants to recall phase 2 or was it phase 3? clan jade falcon tearing through the IS with so many units unnecessarily joining them this tukayyid is going to look similar.
I want to see how many units and which units are on which side atm. may i suggest instead of a top 5 we get a full summary of it? like day by day who was IS, who was CLAN and who switched to what inbetween.
i certainly know one unit who was MARIK and i havent seen them play a single fp match while being marik except for one of their guys who happened to solodrop into our marik loyalist 8 man but they switched right into smoke jags, too.
then there are posts from some merc pilots whinging about the IS pilots. lol sure. you are the ones tipping the population into inbalance and then who gets the blame? everyone else.
plus lotta people are trying to play this solo. please dont throw yourselves at a coordinated premade.
you get salty, they get salty, insults start flying around both ways. we are civilized people. always respect eachother.
coordination and comms and meta-FP-mechs are the key to success.
please bring appropriate mechs. you dont wanna show up to a gun fight with a knife unless youre frank castle but thats another story.

had a loss today on frozen city skirmish bc some people thought having lrmboats on the first wave will be amazing. maybe on alpine, maybe on polar, maybe on boreal vault.
partly my fault bc i didnt object and the result was a wasted first wave of mechs. gotta bring the best mechs. endgame mechs to the endgame modes.
my personal experience on factionplay:
i didnt touch factionplay for over a year til i improved and got a good dropdeck and gotten into a good unit with teamspeak.
when the essential piloting skills are in place (in my book thats when you can carry a whole team in pugplay to victory - my opinion on this) and you are confident in your mechs playing cw is going to be fun.
oh yea almost slipped my mind: where is the IS vs IS action weve been promised? im getting worn out killing night gyrs and mad-iics and kodiak-3s.

I am having very positive thoughts on this event. I am currently a merc, but only fight for IS. I have accomplished the following:
1) Use the IS chat - it is very useful! From there, you can recruit three random IS pilots for scouting. Just ask for volunteers - don't be shy!
2) Joined the FRR public teamspeak to fight in 12 pilot Faction Play. We fared very well!
Some observations:
For scouting, I think the IS has a significant advantage with 5 tons. I had many Scout matches with my 3 other pilot comrades against coordinated and PUG clanners. They were very frail with their Huntsmen, Novas and Hunch IIC. We were Shadow hawks, Griffins and Hunchies.
When there is a Faction Play Event, please include links to Clan and IS TeamSpeaks (someone may need to create pinned posts in the forums for both IS and Clans). It didn't take me long to find them on my own, but many IS pilots did not know this in the IS chat.

I have a screenshot of facing again 12 enemies who were all disconnected, I believe it was NTEX 12 man drop. We were all crapping it.... then noticed it was genine, they were all disconnected.
(On the flip side, how the hell did we pugs still lose 2 mechs against no real enemies?!
One from the dropship, ok I suppose, one from friendly fire. Seriously?!)
Other issues were, lobbies having 0 information about who is on your team.
Everything PGI owns running in bullet time.
Clicking to drop but not touching anything for a minute otherwise the game gets heavily confused.
Dropship deployment bug where it shows you out of the planet and some how warping into the world in some 80's funky fashion.

If PGI would just Split the FP queues Groups VS Groups 2v2-12v12 only and PUG Vs Pug only FP and these challenges would balance out much much better for all involved and maybe help the player base start to rebuild and enjoy the game.
It really is fun to play Pug VS Pug in solo MM or FP most players win or lose have much more fun and get more playing time per battles.And a group VS group only would be a much better situation for those that want true unit competition rather than PUG slaughter game after game.
