Be careful... the last time that *@$%# suckered me in with his constant talk of a political leader & I made a similar comment, got me a 3 week forum ban for "talking about politics" and those posts as the given reason in the message. Maybe you can get away with it like he apparently can with imputity but replying to it is dangerous
Mmmm. Good point, though I do find more than 1-2 replies worth of political commentary almost always devolves into mudslinging and such anyhow, so I'll stick with having said my piece on the matter.

That they moderate and what things they typically moderate for isn't as that's explained in the CoC though many people, like the terms of service for credit cards, never read it. So someone might as a question of whether such and such is allowed and what to do about it, and thus anyone could answer whether its covered under the CoC and worthy of reporting / requesting moderation of the issue.
But what the specific form of the moderation that was taken and what triggered it for a particular player IS.
DISCUSSING DISCIPLINARY ACTIONS
Discussing moderation or other disciplinary actions taken against yourself or other players, whether in-game or on the forums, is forbidden.

I am not this player, sorry. I am King Harkinian. This is my main. This is who I am. I'm sorry if this bothers anyone, truly. I don't know why I am apologizing, but it seems like a lot of people are apparently angry over my success. Or maybe it's the twitch plug, I don't know. I have to start somewhere. I am here playing by myself, you know. I'm not taking donations or asking for money, so I don't see a problem...
"This is my main" pretty much admiting you have had other accounts. "First match" more like first match on this account.
Glad you made tier one. Just be honest tho.

None the less, we wouldn't call out and throw shade at the hotdog contest winner, right?
It's okay to think little of particular achievement, I just feel the forum has gone overboard (and obsessive) over whether it's his main account or not. Personally, I don't care. I just think it's impressive to have this done. (like the people that practice for years to beat Mario under 3 minutes)
Now, obviously, if the Mario speed run guy then turn to the camera and was like, "this is my first time playing." I get why people would get upset. BUT, in fairness, is the world record not achieved? I think same thing could be applicable here.
At the very least, he released his full game footage, to prove that this is not done with hacks. So, it's not quite the Barry Bonds situation either.
Ah, I see. Different strokes for different folks. What makes this different for me is that the OP keeps making these posts because he wants the attention. So he does it at his own peril by attempting to draw a lot of attention to himself. I personally don't think the criticism is particularly harsh, mostly it seems to just be some teasing back.
If making tier 1 in a week and a half means that much to him, that's great. It obviously does if he recorded nearly 700 matches. The tier system doesn't mean much to a lot of players in this game, most seem to play just because they enjoy Battletech and big stompy robots. There are some fishy parts to this player's story and the posts do come off to me as being very ego-driven. I don't know the player, but as I've said before it comes off as an obvious self-promotion to me.
As in all things I'll be happy if I am wrong. Regardless, it's a fun thread. We've all been entertained as a range of topics have been discussed.

I started one last week during the double XP event just to see how easy the skill tree was for a new account perspective (though with now 13,660 total matches, I'm not in any shape or form, a new player) to get a mech to 91 nodes. New accounts get 24 hours of premium time, there's all the cadet bonuses, the 5,000,200 cbills in the academy, the Cadet 25 48k GXP reward now, and all the achievements you can get rewards for. I went ten matches in trials mechs (1 in the kodiak, 9 in the Nova), then bought a SCR-D, ripped the stock weapons, fitted 3 SSRM-6, 2 ASRM-6, 8 tons of ammo and an active probe. No extra heatsinks. I had all 91 nodes done in 24 matches, and finished the event 10k match score with it in only two or three more matches after that. Never used the 48k bonus. Then proceeded to skill up the linebacker and got it done using about 29k of the 48k bonus before the event ended.
Total results on that account...
30 31 0.97 43 41 1.05 62 280
And its still in the Tier 5. The #s before I did the linebacker were better (ratios were both well above 1 and the ave match score was 297). Let's see if I can find one of the posts in the other threads...

So whats the big deal here? I think I'll go to his channel and support it. You never know.
I bet the lower tiers are having fun today. I personally do not have time for such a contest right now. I also know I am not going to get tier one in under 600 games. Much less a nova. Is anyone else really trying this? I am very interested in the data.

Although if the people in my games that I assumed were tier 2s and 3s were actually mostly tier 1s, I don't know what to think about that.
