Had 2 in the same game on HPG, during what was an immensely fun game in my KDK5, I poked out of the basement after me and two others had chased an enemy down there, to come within a couple hundred meters of a KDK3 staring right in my direction, I decided, hey, why not, look at that gaping maw of his, and put a burst of 2 lpl, 1 mpl, and 5 spl right into his cockpit, killing him almost instantly, as I assume, he charged his double gauss (or possibly was mid aim or shooting at someone beside me).

I was laughing but felt terrible for the guy as he had barely lost any armor at all prior to that. Immediately after this I pushed up and around out of the basement, and came face to face with another KDKs butt panel... Needless to say I hit him with the same pulse volley and a double burst of UAC20, and he immediately fell over.

Like I say the rest of the game was amazingly fun in general for me in particular, but it came across as another one of those funny but cruel moments, where I realised I had just killed 2 other kodiaks and received no damage in return from them.

Anyone else get these moments that make them feel like something is so good it feels like abuse/exploiting when doing it?

Hot being able to hit what I'm shooting at, which also happens to be in knife fighting range, is annoying as hell.

I hide behind enemy lines in my x5 ERML Arctic Cheetah and time my shots to shoot people in the rear as they are getting shot from the front, knowing they will blame poor hitreg.

Nah, that really is a strong strategy, and one that infuriates me, hitting a target from multiple angles, and saving your shots for those exact moments (also when they are mid firing works too).

But no, he's right, time your shots with lrm hits, or ac his and he'll never know you're stripping away his rear armor.

My most recent was on Grim where me and a Loki stared at each other and I sent two 68pt alphas from my TBR into his chest and dropped him. I even got on the mic and said, "wtf was wrong with that hellbringer!? He just let me alpha him twice in the face with no return!?" Kinda felt bad.

He wasn't afk, as the brawl just started and he had just walked down the hill...and turned directly to face me.

Then in the same match, there was a thunderbolt, which let me shoot him with dual clan LPLs like 3-4 times...and didn't move...I was like hmm that dude is AFK, I'll deal with him later....minute later I hear a hiss to my rear....yup theres that freaking thunderbolt, now alive. That one kinda just annoyed me bc that should have been an easy kill lol.

Yeah I have noticed people try to "play dead" at times too, which has been successful one or two times against me. There was some sneaky light who also powered down under an assaults corpse and stabbed me in the back.

that moment when you tell a Stalker pilot he could have much more impact, exp and c-bills if he would stay within mpl range to use em too (he had 2 lrm5, 2 lrm 10 and 6 (!) mpl) but he gets so butthurt over it to not even saying anything but utter bs lol.

Back in the days when the Kodiak was released. I cannot recount the number of times I poked around a corner and pressed a 80 alpha with my 4x UAC10 into the side torso of fresh IS medium/heavy mechs with XL instantaneously killing them.
While I got used to it over time it was always a Wow and Ewww moment.
The most moment of this kind I got with the Kodiak 3.
80 alpha at 600m range was just OP

I once one-shot a locust by ripping both his legs off with an alpha from 6 cSRM 6's as he ran past me. I wasn't even aiming for him, he intercepted my shot

Using that same 'Mech in the tight confines of the base on Vitric...and still winning.

My 70 armor CT urby hasnt been having much a problem with it...

I have another, more of a derp moment, was on river city and dropped into the tunnel on a push with my mauler and was wreaking people with my ac20s when people would walk by the mouth, battle was intense and apparently a Centurion has dropped behind me for a while... I mean I'm talking a good 30 seconds he was behind me.

I kept engaging what was in front of me and took a lot of fire and backed up and turned, saw him, and there must have been a ecm mech above because he didn't show up red on my hud and he must have been in cool down bc he didn't shoot me when I faced him... Sooooo I ignored him thinking it was friendly yep turned back around and got back in the fight, then wham! Slammed with what felt like srms. Turned around again, and was thinking, bro... The FF man Wtf.

He hit me again, that's 3 shots to the back and finally I was like oh F!! Alph'd him and he shut down for some reason.... Out of panic and at 5m I advanced zoomed on his cockpit and Alpa'd for a heads shot and got him!

Then I died since the team came behind my open rear....

I left that match sooo confused and chucked.... What a potatoes I am lololol

I could tell the other pilot was Confused too since he wasn't evading or maneuvering, just stood there.
