LRM Boats/Carriers can relate. I don't hate LRM Boats. Using LRMs
Can be fun sometimes. But what just happened to me happens too often
Nowadays within the MWO Universe.
In the match maybe two minutes. I spot an enemy 800 meter's away. I'm with my whole
Team still. "INCOMING MISSILE" "Incoming MISSILE"
Streaks of blue and whitesh gold line the air. Not just a Group of missiles from
One mech or one shot. Im talking Hundreds are coming at me. Hundreds.
The Impact destroys components immediately. Then Your dead.
I get that sometimes your gonna get lurmed to death. It's part of the game. And
There are also ways to avoid that. But this....what just happened to me and countless others
Is a whole different kind of LURM.
Just seems to me like Lrms were not this crazy few years ago. Hell even a year. Like it's
Become this whole new thing. Sit back lock on and enjoy. Press a few buttons. Got a kill woo woo.
And don't get me wrong. I use Lrms all the time. Just not like that mess.
It's gonna be a whole new ball game when The Civil War Update arrives.
New Weapons means a breed of new builds and new tactics and strategies will
Form.

Lots of "ifs" there and, from my experience, it's quite easy to avoid LRM fire almost always unless all of those ifs come true. Honestly, 90% of the time, I'm more worried about the LRM boats on my team than on the enemy's. No need to nerf them further...
And if you really find yourself struggling with them, get AMS, spec AMS overload and Radar Deprivation.

At the very least nerf the shared lock system. If you can't see the target most of the lrms shouldn't be hitting. Again more this nerf Into a buff for los lrms.

What I find funny, is I find lately more players are just taking 1 or 2 LRM mounts in the T2-3 range, not even building to be a full on LRM boat. When enough people on a team are doing this, the first 1 or 2 enemies to die feel like LRMs are a serious problem. but it's exactly what they should do, soften the other side before the brawl.

- 30 tubes, max. With sane ammunition storage - 4 tons, max.
- Bring BAP/TAG
- Bring ample support weaponry
- Get into the fight

Get PGI to remove shared locks from anything other than TAG and Narc. Thus the LRM boats will be forced into the fight rather than cower at the back. This will also help with the cancer that is LRM assaults.

Things like range, when you have long range weapons, you can rarely get LRMs unless it's end game. Speed is also pretty good as it allows you to cross open areas faster.

LRM's are fun to use. I'm not saying they are not. I love my Cyclops 10q.

LRMs are not only one of the weakest weapon choices, they also have the most hard counters, with AMS buffed to the point where LRM5s are complete waste of tonnage. No, really. I know it sounds mean, but LRMs are not an issue, nor are they overwhelming. You can literally hug a rock and sit it out, with 4 or 5 LRM boats just blasting all their loads over the cliff face while your team advances unimpeded. I kept UAVs alive to bait enemy LRMs, it's that much of a non-issue.
You might need to git gud, as they say.
