Use that head as a periscope. If they are looking your way back up. If they are not then step forward and get their attention.

Yeah, it's like the Anti-Archer in terms of visibility.

i'm not sure where people are getting the idea that the annihilator will have terrible hitboxes. we'll have to wait and see, but if they're anything like the stalker's then that's about as good as you can hope for from a mech this size.

I've seen a couple retorts to the Bad Hitbox argument. It is a little sleek, and popping the shoulders will be harder against an Anni than a Kodiak or Atlas (from a targeting perspective).

Here's my biggest beef:

If the Anni arms were just a little higher, they would be good torso shields. As they are now, I have to question the choice of the design engineer who let the arms sag below the torso protrusion.

To all you folks whom are concerned with the Annihilators gut. I'd like to refer you all to my Annihilators guide using imperial walkers.

https://mwomercs.com...perial-walkers/

I've mentioned a few times in that to not let yourself get flanked, the gut is why.

Meanwhile I'm in heaven. Next week equals game of thrones, Annihilator, boss away, good times.

Im convinced that artists are allowed to do damn near whatever they want. Think of just how many mechs have the weapon hardpoints on the bottom of the arms as example

Look at the size of the Uziel's diaper. Hitting the CT is going to be soooo easy. Side torsos look small too, so may as run XL 100% of the time. The torso/leg ratio is just soooo off...

Why does everyone not seem to remember you can load a 300 engine in the Annihi? o.o I mean, 52kph is still kinda slow, but, that's the typical speed for a 100 ton mech, exempting the Kodiak. It's not gonna be any slower, or less maneuverable than a Dire Wolf. And, if you stick with a Standard 300, it will make for a half-decent zombie mech with head, and center torso hardpoints depending on variant...

Contrary to what PGI originally claimed about the engine desync...what we've so far seen in actual practice is that IS mechs for a given tonnage will be more agile than a clan mech of the same tonnage (highlander vs highlander IIC), and in some cases even IS mechs of greater tonnage end up far more agile (Cyclops vs Night Gyr). So I expect the Annihilator to be comparable to an Atlas, and still better than a Kodiak. The Mad Cat Mk2 will likely be the same agility as the Super Nova to start and if it over performs they'll nerf it to Mad2C #s.

A problem we would not have ever if PGI would simply split crotches and butts evenly between right and left leg on all mediums, heavies and assaults. If they want to increase TTK this would be a good way to do it. The King Crab is one of the best examples as its crotch is RT, CT and LT.

Not liking that the barrels on the Mad Cat MK 2 are sticking out so much, the arms seem to short. Similar with the Uziel, arms seem really small. The other two seem to be right on the money though.

I think it will be the opposite the side torsos look bigger then the center also it has a lot of negative space so the over all hit rate should go down as long as you don't just run in a strait line. it also has good poking ability

So tall in fact that we had to adjust the MechLab cameras to fit it in frame.

Was HPG manifold also adjusted to prevent it from getting stuck?

Was thinking of that considering I can get stuck with an Atlas.

good question, next question :D

on a more serious note, the MC MK2's arms seem to be quite good for shielding. amlost the whole st/ct is covered - at least as long you do not use lurms or srm on it.
