PGI makes their money off of new mechs, not maps. According to Russ from a previous town hall from awhile back, he clearly stated that new mechs do not affect other development areas of the game such as new maps. So why not have both?

I think pgi is getting less money every month ....'cause players are getting bored to play in always the same maps

One mech a month. It's really expensive for me with the **** Aus dollar. One a month is much more manageable!

Ya know, I sometimes get worried about this game shutting down due to PGI's incompetence. Then again there are times when that incompetence is on such display that I cease worrying and instead become resigned to it. That tweet is in its own special category of arrogant incompetence and tone deafness.

It is effectively asking: would you prefer the option to give us of $20-$55 or $80-$210 per month for nothing more than more mechs.

The tweet is asking such a question despite the continued failure to explain (these are just off the top of my head):

Why IK is still not in the game despite it being promised in July of last year that it would return in October of 2016?
Why CW has not changed substantively (oh boy a map reset and "victory conditions") this entire year despite a statement in January that 2017 would be a renewed focus on CW development?
Just when we can expect -exactly when- new maps to be put into the rotation (that right, I said maps, not map, but maps...plural)?
Why escort sucks so bad and if that is the best you can do for an AI why on earth we should be remotely excited for MWV?
Just when will the graphic fixes be instituted so that new tech actually looks like new tech on all the mechs?
Just when the MKII animations are going to be fixed?
Etc.

So here is humble suggestion: instead of asking us how we would prefer to give you money, how about instead you ask what it would take to make me want to give you money at all? How about instead of asking us for anything, you appologize for failed promises and rushed broken content that folks paid for? How about you tweet out an explanation as to the lack of quality control in the last patch and what steps you are taking to ensure that it doesn't happen again? How about you say just about anything other than request that we tell you just how we would like to throw money at you?

Just some ideas for you to consider.

Their poor management of actually developing the game, leading to it being extremely boring to me, was the primary factor I stopped buying anything and only log on for a match every month or two.

There's also way too many mechs already, the release rate isn't the problem its the oversaturation with nothing to do with them other than the same exact matches we've had since beta. There's no real purpose in adding new mechs, they don't add anything new to the gameplay.
As hard of a sell as it would probably be with their track record, advance access to new game modes like Solaris or even maps is probably their best bet for monetizing the game much further.

I voted for 1 mech per month. I agree that the game needs more maps, maybe they can monetize them e.g. giving special mech variants or unique patterns for those who support the maps development in order to speed up the process.

Can we get a large Bug Fix pack instead?
This would include graphical bug fixes the modelers and artists need to do.

Not sure there'd be much reason to preorder or early order with the mimimal rewards we'd get for 1 over 4 to 7 mechs per pack.

I have no problem with the current setup and have ordered almost every full pack even when not that active as i always know ill use it anyway.

With no definite rewards on top of the mech itself (like the heroes) i cant see ever buying anything pre-sale.

Then we get to the price per mech as they need to maintain income....

First, I want mechs from the 3055 TRO both IS and Clan 2nd line Battlemechs

War Dog
Tempest
Cerberus
Grim Reaper
Penetrator
Vixen
Goshawk
Hellhound
Etc.

Second, I want to be able to either buy a full mech pack or buy individual variants ala Carte. Pricing Structure as follows:

Standard Mech Pack = $20 - Standard 3 Variants
Reinforcement Mech Pack = $15 - Standard 2 Variants
Hero = $15 - Standard Hero
Colectors Edition = $20 extra and comes with 1 30% C-bill variant

All packs come with all the Swag.

Then a Ala Carte option - Chose your mechs package as follows(Ala Carte does not come with Swag but does get early adopter reward):

Each Variant = $10
Pick 3 = $25
Hero = $15 (can be bought individually)

Obviously I would like everything cheaper but I also want to offer a fair pricing option that PGI can make a decent profit off of.

I'm meched out I think. I own 270 as of right now and don't feel the need for any more. Most mechs I don't play since I tend to play one I like for a while and change it up once in a while and then go back to my favorites. I liked when it was one mech each month. Just seemed more fun in speculating and discussing what it might be with the little hints and clues PGI would throw out there.

<<<<----------- My profile message thingy has a proposition to PGI that will get me to buy more mech packs though. There are mechs I wouldn't mind buying but I'm kind of hesitant to do so since they had taken some of the maps away that I used to like playing on. I already have enough mechs that I like, but I don't have as many maps I like as I used to. Completely new maps are indeed needed, but the quickest way for me to buy a mech pack is to bring back the original maps.

Since there was no IS heavy in the Civil War packs, the Argus would round out the collections nicely. Now that I have my Cougar and Uziel, I can't think of any single 'Mech I want more.

LET ME SELECT THE +30% C BILLS VARIANT.
LET ME UPGRADE MY FAVORITE MECHS TO +30% C BILLS for $4-8 USD (Depending on weight class).

IE -

If I buy a level 1 pack I do not get a + 30% mech.

If I buy a level 2 pack (Typically with 1 hero or "S" class mech) I get 1 +30% variant.

If I buy the Ultimate pack I get 2 + 30% mechs.

Hero mechs should be $10 dollars added to each type of pack 1 and 2.

If you buy Ultimate you get the hero for free a $10 discount if you will.

Ultimate packs should be $40 - $50 dollars with premium time reduced to 1 month and with no hero mech.

I want this. My favorite mech has a hero variant that is so far removed and completely opposite of what I wanted/expected it to be that it just saddens me. Why???? Posted Image

Flood his Twitter asking for new maps, not Mechs. Holy [expletive deleted], we're closing in on a full calendar year since the Terra Therma reboot was injected into the game. Think about that for a second.

Cause we dont seem to be getting both, only one, new mechs.

New maps keep people interested in playing which equates to more cash entering PGI's coffers as people will buy the latest and greatest mech to play on the new maps.

While technically a chicken/egg scenario we have more than enough mechs and no new maps for a loooooong time. Im pretty sure more people leave this game cause of bordem than pretty much anything else.

THIS.

We have more than enough mechs.. we need a dozen new maps to play them on..

Convince them to drop voting first and then we can talk new maps. Until voting is gone new maps are a waste of time and resources.

Worried? Not me. In fact, at times, I am wishing it just happens like a sledgehammer on china.

At the same time I'm disgusted that people are actually salivating at the prospect of more Mechs rather than asking for game improvements -- major game improvements -- instead for this still skeleton of a game after 5 long years. <smh>
