They are all just mediocre to be honest.

IMO, I want to see the rest of the unseen IS mechs make it to the game like the Crusader and the Longbow before we get the IS Omni's. Not that I have anything against IS Omnimechs nor the people that want them in MW:O. I just hope they realize that unless PGI fixes the durability of IS XL engines, their nostalgia is gonna die off into frustration when they can't enjoy their mechs unless they get durability quirks. We all know how reliance on quirks goes when it comes to the balance overlords.

It would be nice to have the quirks attached to each omnipod, or adding the quirks to the CT omnipod and allowing us to switch out the variants of that, which would also allow at least a little flexibility in engine ranges, if some of the omnimech variants had differing engine sizes.

but whats the Difference if they just Give all SHS OmniMechs +25%Heat Displacement
they could just unlock Heatsinks for OmniMechs, allowing some IS and Clan OmniMechs freedom,

I don't like that idea. If we start taking away features that make omnimechs strictly omnimechs, then might as well call them converted battlemechs. Goes with the same territory with omnimechs having interchangeable engines. Sure it is possible in battletech, but without features like repair costs and maintenance in the game there would be no repercussions if people started to convert their omnimechs into battlemechs.

No. While many of the Omnimechs from this era has C3 variants (Certainty the DC ones) there are no C3 locked Omnimechs in this time period. And most of the C3 variants suffer from hard point shortages one would expect from a mech that's sunk so much weight into a computer.

unlocking Locked Equipment would be what i would want,
Unlock the DHSs in the NVA STs, and the WHK LT, Unlock the CAP on the MLX,
Unlock the MLs in the Avatar, Unlock the 2 ST Case in the Strider(i think it was the Strider)
unless someone can give me a really good reason for IS and Clan OmniMechs to have Locked Equipment?

+40% would make SHSs have 0.17Displation, better than DHSs(1.5Displation),
if they had +25% they would become 1Crit DHSs, so they should probably only get only +20%,

Well that's the idea. These mechs have locked SHS but need DHS to be competitive with mechs that use DHS. So why not a quirk that effectively turns SHS into DHS?

Uh, because they wouldn't be Omnimechs anymore?
The only way I would be ok with unlocked equipment for omnimechs is if there was a severe punishment if players choose so. Like for example a big disclaimer warning the player if he/she chose to unlock one of of those locked omnimechs for customization, there would be no changeable equipment for that chasis after the player did modifications to that mech. So whatever things that you did to that mech would be permanently locked unless you bought another version of that mech.
Even so, that is a far stretch since all of these newly "customized omnimechs" would throw off the balance even more and obsolete even more mechs. Thus more nerfs to weapon systems, equiptment, and other things that I don't want nerfed by this idea.
