0/10 for accuracy but 10/10 for self defeating rant quality.
Knowledge and skill is everything in this game so your complaint is odd. The information is available to help yourself learn and even people like Proton regularly stream and answer questions. I get that he's not the most dynamic of streamers but English isn't his first language either. His information is top notch and when he discusses builds or tactics its superb quality (https://www.twitch.tv/prtn_spz). If you prefer someone more fun try Th3B33f as he's a good pilot and full of personality (https://www.youtube.com/user/th3b33f). There are a lot of other streamers like Kanajashi or Baradul who interact with anyone who asks questions. Then there's the forums here or at mechspecs. Whatever your poison is just go learn from them. Complaining won't help you win matches.

But...but...solutions? why?
Seriously though this guys complaints essentially amount to "I wanna be doing the clubbing but don't want to work at it" .

The first step in fixing the MM begins with changing the PSR to actually reflect player skill.

You get rewarded with a PSR increase if you do well in a match - this also rewards you with more cash. It takes a lot of games to build up the cash to have have a useful number of fully equipped and fully skill treed mechs.
Thus the higher someone's tier, the more likely they are to have a decent mech (on average and excluding those times when people play 'bad' builds for fun).
Therefore it makes sense to group the players with the 'best' mechs together in games and away from the ones with the 'worst' mechs.
Yes this does disadvantage the people who play exclusively IS mechs but then nostalgia is expensive.
So TLDR: Tier does not measure skill it measures wealth

I actually went down from Tier 4 to Tier 5 after stopping playing for a while and forgotting the basics.

If you queue up for 60 matches and each match takes 1 minute to find a matchup, that's one hour of wasted time.
If match quality really improved, that might be worth the wait.
60 matches with an average match duration of 10 minutes is TEN HOURS.
If you have 10 hours of free time each day to play a computer time, wasting an hour (your words) is not even on the table.
Do you have a job ? Need to get groceries to eat ? Family ?
I really don't understand this culture of instant gratification ...

40 minutes ? HOW ?
Longest I had to wait, ever, was 12 minutes for a FP match at the worst hour of the night with almost no-one logged on ...

Can you teach me how to do that ? I personnaly know a dozen players that never went out of Tier 5 in 75 matches, myself included.
We are not good, yes.
But most of the players in the game DON'T reach Tier 3 in 25 to 50 matches.
So, again, HOW ?

Yes, I know that.
Most of my

I even had games where I got two kills, one solo one Most Damage, several assists, lots of bonuses, 500+ damage ... and my team lost, potato-me being the top damage dealer, and STILL my PSR went down.
I've NEVER seen that "upward bias" in Tiers, in more than a year of trying to "git gud".
Even when I'm in top form with a mech I know by heart with a nice ping, I *CANNOT* win a 12vs12 match all by myself, and my xp bar goes down much more often than up.
Yes, being bad and personnal bias, yes.
Still haven't seen anyone outside of a veteran player making a new account getting to Tier 3 in 25 to 50 matches.

Yeah, there are obviously going to be a few player that just can't climb. Those are going to be exceptions, though.

I offered to teach you months back, you logged in, and then left me hanging for 3 hours. You told me the next day that you almost burned down your kitchen, so I said OK, I'll teach you again another day. Msged you, never got a reply again. BTW, I rolled an alt, got Tier 3 in 2 matches.
Since this was before anyone can just use private lobby without premium time, I actually logged both my wife's account in on her computer and mine so I could properly host a private lobby to teach you, but you no-showed me. Your loss I guess

You went from "noob" to Tier 3 in TWO matches ?????
