Biggest factor is better units are much more on Clan side, and also I think the more new players are on IS side. Both of these can also drive casual average players not to play IS or to play on Clan side. Winning is so much more fun than 30 minutes of struggle for defeat.
Mechs and weapons should be balanced for quickplay, and FP and other modes should balanse by other means than single mechs or weapons.

During the leaderboard when I was playing with the Mad Dog H, I initially tried to use original pods. But those quirks just didint give me enough DPS and firepower and as I was running out of time to get the mechbay, so I switched on to the more reliable 6xLRM10 and to hell with stock pods. It works. Stock pods and their pitiful 8/8 quirks just don't cut it. And yeah, the H quirks didn't make much sense as it was just straight slightly better than prime with same hardpoints. But they were simply not strong enough to be used. It could and would make more sense if they both got like -20% or even -30% cooldown but they would also have extra quirks for like LRM15 and LRM20, to make them "different". But unless the quirks were obsene, people would still use mixed pods.
Mad Dog was maybe the first mech I mastered under old system, I sold one of them and kept two. Now I got three again, it's convinient as one can be kept with Artemis, the others can use non artemis and anytime I want to have artemis LRM or SRM I just load it up on the one which has it.

nice with the kill counts. tho i whish we also had a tank-count for how much damage you tanked in the final screen

Seriously, if you want me to spend more money create more completely new maps. Otherwise I have enough MC and Premium Time to last me years.

LMGs were OP as hell they needed to be nerfed, they should not be able to strip the armor off an undamaged Assault in seconds like they do, even if taken in multipes. They are anti-infantry weapons.

The reason the Clans are winning is probably because most of the playerbase is kids who had to go back to school. Since school started. I saw a massive increase in Clan victories. Before the tech came out, I knew that the time to even HOPE for a battle with which to try and get victory was during the day (kids were in school) after around 2:30 - 4:00. when kids came home. IS would kick our asses. Its not the weapons. Its the players.

Do a game tuning and upgrade and solve this maps/bugs issues fast! Even with awesome GPU the FPS is terrible! OMG!
