What it needs is ARMOR quirks.

**NOT** Structure quirks.

With those giant torsos - structure bonuses don't amount to anything. If this mech ever wants to be viable, it needs some hefty armor quirks to the torsos.

This is the last mechpak I will ever buy. Everything coming out is nerf'd into uselessness long before it drops. I was hoping it would play better but it's pretty much trash. From now on it's MC for mechbays only and maybe some premium time.

Seriously. In a game with so many crit-heavy weapons, structure might as well be paper mache. And even on those times you get lucky and it's not your mech that gets tore up, all your weapons in that component do so you might as well have died.

I remember a time when people were making fun of crit-seaking weapons like the LB-X and MGs. Ah... 3 months ago... good times.

It's too big to be 75 tons. It's clumsy, but I don't have movement skills yet. Still, seems like movement skills won't take it that far.

LB cannons still suck. It's MGs that have become the real crit monsters.

I haven't tried mine yet, but I've been shooting at ALOT of them, and I really like shooting them. Its like shooting a billboard sign.

I may trade mine in for some more bullets!

Success with any mech is the byproduct of a comes chemical reaction. You must add the following chemicals in exact order and equal measure -

Fluorine, Uranium, Carbon, Potassium, Bismuth, Technetium, Helium, Sulfur, Germanium, Thulium, Oxygen, Neon, Yttrium.

If you have any questions then look up the correct elements on the atomic weight chart in order.

Not kidding. That is literally the chemical process for success. Even in a mech like the Thanatos.

Yes... It is that bad. No amount of armor/structure quirks will help. The hit-boxes are terrible the thing gets cored from all angles no matter how much twist you use. Any of the marauders are way better than this mech.. I wish I could get a refund in all honesty. A horrible horrible mech and a severe disappointment for the 75 ton class.

Regards..

Well, after playing it a bunch, I've changed my tune.

Crap mech that would require 200 Skill Points to make it even remotely viable.

Needs some work, to say the least. Very disappointing.

First impression?

Oh god. The fact that the enemy team all seemed to focus solely on the Right torso is scary.

Arrrrrghhh!!
It pains me to say this....tremendously. The Than might do well to get some large armor bonus to those STs. Whew! got that out of the way. Structure honestly has good value guys, more so than ya think.

Also the Skill tree can do some wondrous things from 0 to 91.

I find the Thanatos is so oversized (let's be honest, it's too massive to be 75 tons, a major rule set nerf) that it's one saving grace, a smallish Center Torso, is the first thing to go red. What nonsense. The Thanatos pays for the small Center Torso with the barn door side torsos. Of course when you make the Thanatos the size of an Awesome (almost) it loses it's inherent strengths. Thanks!

So far out of 3 games. I've managed to get my STs Critted earlier on then I would have liked, but wondrously haven't had the Gauss rifles explode and finish without dying or losing my Side Torsos...so umm ya. A bit early for me still to form a solid opinion.

Its sorta whining.

The Thanatos comes at 75t. That is only 5t less than an Awesome (or one ER Large Laser or an LRM 10!). Like al 75t heavy mechs (Orion), its like a light assault mech and should be comparable to the awesome.

To be honest, look at the concept. You got, what was advertised: Sidetorsos on Legs!

I tested 3 Thanatos in FP, all in 1 Dropdeck + Assasin. I did 2200 Damage, each Thanatos about 600 Damage and we played not against the worst players.

Just because its a new mech it doesnt mean that the players using them are invincible....Like always, it also depends on piloting skills. I'm totally fine with Thanatos, it does what it should do, nothing more, nothing less.

You can't brawl with it due to the big hitboxes and lack of any armour quirks whatsoever.
It's ok on the sidelines but could do with some support quirks.

Actually, that's pretty much every mech in the game :P
