I think we can stop bumping this thread every time your vote total changes, as it's not actually "discussion". If you really want to keep an updated tally, do so by editing the first post.

The word of these two siblings must be spread. But I see your point as it can get annoying overtime. I just get happy about this stuff, that’s all. But I will link this thread in my signature to save myself the trouble of searching through the other threads.

I made this drawing to show how the geometry could be on the Hatamoto-Chi, while using the Charger as the base template. Here is how it could be done.

For the Hatamoto
1. Copy the base model of the Charger.
2. Make the Shoulder pads for the Hatamoto longer.
3. Keep the head the same, but replace the T-shaped visor with a rectangle and add a samurai helmet crest.
4. Turn the gun hardpoint on the right arm into a wrist gun and make the wrist round instead of the square.
5. Make the hip more samurai-like.
6. Remove the split metal part of the Charger.

You know what one benefit of the samurai stuff could be for the Hata? It might help it a smidgen with volumetrics.

Yes, I agree that it could be another faction that could make the Hatamoto different from its brother. Different geometry and size could make a big difference.

Also, the Charger now has 149 votes and the Hatamoto-Chi has 263 votes.

I'll be happier if we can get both the Charger and the Hatamoto at once.

If the Charger and Hatamoto were released, I think that the weapon hardpoints would look like this:

Stop with the nostalgia, it results in stupid mechs. Legacy would be A. cooler looking and more importantly B. not crappy

Then make a Legacy awareness thread then instead of derailing this thread.

I also need to point out that the Charger never made any appearances in any Mechwarrior game, so it ain't complete nostalgia.

kk sorry, carry on then. Didn't mean to come off so severe. Charger would add something new and I'm semi for that. The Hatamato aside from it's aesthetic appearance that carries appeal to some would result in an MRM boat.

No worries man, we all have pet mechs that we all want to see in the game. So it's all good.

The CGR-1X1 is the ugliest Charger ever made. I hope Alex doesn't make the Charger like this for MWOPosted Image :

With 264 votes for the Hatamoto, I hope the Charger can get more respect as well.

Why is there little love for the Charger? It does have good variants if you overlook the 1A1, and it would be easier to remodel the Hatamoto (which has 265 votes Posted Image ) from, just with different geometry. I want the Hatamoto, but still.

Because the appearance of the the Hatomato Chi inherently appeals to weebs while the charger only has the eye of the real oldbies.

Also THUG 4 LYFE! (peels out flipping the bird and and fishtailing the whole way out of the parking lot)

Both have their appeals to certain audiences, the Charger looks ruff, and rugged. Typical of American/Western mech arts I can across.

Hamoto Chi features is very sleek, and appeal to more Japanese mecha art, being more human-like than a war machine.
