Another topic on "It can kill me... sometimes... therefore it must be nerfed!" LOL!

Pilot a Piranha, and see if you can consistently get one kill per match.

Omg, I so love my brittle fish!
XL170, SHS 12MG’s and 12000 rounds...
If you shoot me, I die.
If you ignore me, you die.
I can’t face-tank you if you have armor, but if your positioning is off, I’ll harass you to pull you off teammates or squirrel you away from the fight. If there are stripped components showing, I’m chewing on that.
Most everything is instadeath to me, so being reckless is kinda irrelevant.

Pirahna isn’t an exploit, it’s a mindset.

At last an honest poster... I salute you!

The Piranha is a glass cannon.
Good damage and speed.
No ECM or JJS.
Practically no armor, range, visibility.

Seems fine. Just buff some other lights and get something similar in for IS.

So to summarize all the tips:

1) Stick together with your teammates
2) Put your *** against the wall -- while moving with ur team
3) Use streaks, even if you can't get a lock while target is leg humping

Thanks guys!

well, at least you got the sarcasm part right, mate.

So... I'm reading that a player that has next to no situational awareness gets rekt?

Man, if only the other shameful Lights like the Spider-5V got anywhere close to the Piranha's glory.

Seriously, every single time I read about people losing to Lights, is when another Urbie-IIC gets its JJs wings.

I've had a piranha take me out from the front in 2 secs (I was in an uziel with orange ct armor). That's a problem. Even the bigger alphas would have just taken me down to red structure and given me time to react. Sometimes I don't even hear the machine guns hit me before my side torso is blown off. That's an even bigger problem. I don't mind being killed really quickly, but I'd like to at least have a chance to react and survive it.

How are you able to react and survive twin gauss shots to the noggins that critted? Posted Image

Seeing enemy lights die to LRMs is a tasty reward and a joy.

Piranha as a chassis is not a huge problem. MGs critting like crazy is the problem. Those lights with 6+ MGs can strip a section clean of any weapons in a couple of seconds, even though the torso is still mostly intact. That needs to be changed. Less crits, more damage to MGs can alleviate the issue.

Here is a random thought, put more than 2 points of armour on your back....

THAT.

Also, find the key to release armlock.

SWEET TAPDANCING JEHOVA, the number of assaults I spectate who fail to shoot close range lights because THE LITTLE CIRCLE IS STUCK IN THE LITTLE CROSS makes my brain want to implode.

Personally.. I have a very hard time seeing the arm reticle on the clan hud, so on those I switch back and forth.

Is mechs I usually play with it off.

I don't care what lights are armed with. The rescale made it harder to hit lights that are right in front of you.

Signed a concerned Assault pilot.

I switch between them.

For a seemingly large portion of the playerbase, however, the switch has been flipped, welded in place, and the knowledge of it's existence hypnotically suppressed by the best clan brain tinkerers there are.

CSPLs did not strip weapons that fast. It was just plain OP for its tonnage, against armor as well as internals. MGs are pretty mediocre against armor. CSPL deserved the nerf, but not to that much extent.

I typically play one of those pesky lights. Best way to avoid it is to be with friends, and make sure they know it when you're under attack. The second best way is not to have potato aim. Finally, if you have to go heavy/assault, consider taking one of the ones that isn't a massive walking target. I can stay behind a kodiak, annhi, or atlas all day. I have a much harder time with Marauder IIs, and if you're in something like a linebacker I won't go anywhere near you.
