Solaris Roll Out

Removing consumables a great start. Flamers, a bit late to the planning stage, glad they were ripped out.
I just hope there aren't areas in the arenas where a jump mech can get up somewhere to hide if they want to disengage for whatever reason and time out the match.
Actually, when the time starts ticking pretty close to the end I'd want to see a PUBG style circle to force people into conflict.
Solaris is about ratings and people who engage in such tactics wouldn't be supported by the circuit.

I came to MWO expecting 100% PvP. Does that give you a clue to my answer?
I came here knowing we had 100% PVP but expected PVE from articles like this.

BRO I don’t even care about MWO anymore haha. I got Single / Co-Op PVE on Unreal 4 with MOD Support!
You’re stuck with Mediocre Balance Online with CryEngine Spegettii. Soon as HBS and MW5 come out you won’t have anything to beat up.

I have not relied on any PGI press releases to the gaming rags ever since the "we have many highly urban maps ready for release" fiasco during that same period.

When Solaris is rolled out there is bound to be a lot of blood and tears. A lot of T1 players will get their self perception smashed by the players who are actually T1 quality. They can't blame their team mates anymore so it will hit hard. There will also be crazy amounts of cheese. The only thing I'll say for sure is that there will be a lot of salt regardless of how good PGI's first implementation is.
As for long term end game content... yer sure I'll play Solaris regularly but it is not going to hold my attention like a good implementation of FW would. For me the Battletech universe is about big stompy robots and the clash of the great houses and Clans. Things like Solaris and Mercs seam like such side shows by comparison but if you played nothing but the computer games you'd think that was all the universe had to offer.
Ultimately I think Solaris will attract the same small competitive group of people. I can not see it swelling the population of MWO over the long term. I certainly don't see players who don't like competitive play, with a team to hide behind, suddenly develop a tast for it solo.
Agree! No more team mates to blame and no more team mates to hang out to dry. I.e. have a light move into the circle but then not support the light even though they’re getting flanked. Or telling someone else to push but not exposing yourself. I am very much looking forward to Solaris

Now that is a discussion worthy of a gaming course thesis.

Having sad that, the very basic mechanics (i.e. Mech combat) are fine. It's everything else beyond that that is not.

I wouldn't put any stock to claims MW5 will have great mod support. You should know better by now.

If this **** isn't packed to the gills with features, achievements, decals etc, it's going to fall on its face. No one is going to sit around for empty promises. It would have more longevity with player run Leagues.

for Mods a game must have a Modder Community and many Interest in a Scene ..and the game must succesfull ...today we only seeing egneric Missions with generic units and Generic Bases ..nothing to storyline ,scripted missions ,Campaign ...Xcom 2 or other games have a good Gamehistory for Intetest in a Community
MW5 has nothing great Marketing without PC Gamers ...seeing the own MW5 Websited from PGI and in the BT Scene has PGI not a good Call

I do think alpha damage zombies will rule the school as opposed to sand paper builds but there will be some skill to it. I mean after all you have to hit.
