Sweet so why didn't anyone get refunds after they made changes before...
Sure there's the Nightstar changed the night before added to game but thats not the only one.
There was a massive-heck of a bigger uproar over the resizing of mechs and more then a few people left over it.
Didn't see anyone get refunds on those supersized mechs.
This change is microscopic and more fits concept art which means PGI is just ensuring people get what people thought they pre-ordered and thereby fixing the mistake/erroneous short barrel version.

83 Likes, don't think those counts as angry or opposed to it.

185 likes,16 loves,8 haha,1 sad,1 angry reaction on facebook plus look at the comments on both.
No the reactions are not actual comments individually but they do indicate a favourable ratio as well as the comments.
I know I know, it's easier to ignore it and say you're right.

fwiw, I don't think I've said a word publicly, but absolutely support the model update to match the concept art. The stubby mounts look dumb, the long and tall mounts look badass.
Aesthetics first, and then gameplay considerations second. Otherwise a lot of our mechs would look a lot less interesting.
And mind you, people who object to something are a lot more likely to be vocal about it than the people who nod along in silent approval.

No dislike button, biased metric, no use in counting it.

Which is why I'll point out, again, that until the recent patch notes, this is a change most people were unaware of. People can't complain about a change if they have no idea it exists. Patch day will confirm or deny how people feel, when people who own the 'mech see it changed.

I was (and still am) happy with the truncated, snug-fit mounts.
I will be displeased if they go ahead with the proposed nerf.
Amen.
I pre-ordered just the standard package because of how god-awfully big and high the shoulder cannons were in the original art. I wanted ECM, but ew, those oversized pods.
Once I saw the preview with the snug mounts, I was much happier and pre-ordered the reinforcements.
My only complaint was that you should be able to fit more in the shoulder pod. Plenty of space for two lasers or two machine guns without using lower torso space.
PGI better be serving up some huuuuge armor quirks if they want this change to be well received.
Why not just make it a bolt on for pilots that want to live vicariously through the size of their weapon pods.
Free for pre-orders and you can charge real money for it as a bolt on.
If the majority of the community wants it, PGI will be raking it in for art that is already been done...twice.
And the players win because it would be way less expensive than a red sports car.

PGI said that the pods will now mount both weapons, and you won't be stuck with the lower torso mounts anymore.
Exact wording from patch notes, "The above mentioned shoulder mounted weapons nacelles can now equip a maximum of two weapons a piece (as one hardpoint has been relocated from the torso)."

Name one person that asked for a refund and didn't get it.
It's a Canadian company, customer service is top notch.

IIRC there is a disclaimer stating that there would be no refunds after the mech as been distributed.
In this specific scenario PGI should refund someone if they ask for it because what was showcased via previews and screenshots is getting changed. Outside of the asymmetrical shoulder pods there was no massive outcry about the aesthetics of the Asp.

Just ask for it, you'll get it. Disclaimers only stop people who aren't really upset.

In my experiences with disclaimers in regards to refunds I've been denied so....meh. Of course it wasn't PGI.
Not that currently I want a refund of them and I likely wont because I enjoy my Rancor too much and I doubt they'll find a way for me to keep that and refund the standard pack. .

PGI customer service is usually top notch.
If one requests a refund because the ingame model changed considerably afterwards then I'm sure they give a refund.
There sure is a disclaimer, but if the product changes in such a fashion as it did here I don't think it would be a problem.
It's an unusual situation, and if one is being polite I highly doubt customer service is being difficult about it.
It's way more likely that players who kicked and screamed with threats of refunds were all just talk and did actually not request a refund.
And that's why you don't see people posting in this thread about getting/not getting a refund.

You can't really see why this is different then before?
Some might have bought when seeing the ingame model first.

It is as if the OP has carefully studied the geometry of the mech and concluded that the size of the ST barrel is perfect and thus decided to purchase the package - and now his whole system of considerations has collapsed. If the mech was like that at release he would have bought it anyway. Sure, I cant prove it, but it is so blindingly obvious that no amount of righteous whining can convince anyone otherwise.

Personally, I would not grant refunds.. anyone who's bought digital things for real money knows - once you buy, you can't take it back, and PGI has the legal right to modify as they please.. It's in the terms of use..
So yeah.. good luck with getting a refund after a month of playing with the BAS..
That would be like eating a full meal and then saying you're not paying for it, cose' it was to salty..
