When I was a newb 2 years ago, I was browsing Steam discussion board and saw a thread called "who is the best player in game" (sorta like this one!) steam discussion where there's less goofballs, it's like 60% answer mentioning proton. I was quite confused, because... no games have such a close to unanimous conclusion to 1 player being the best. Starcraft, LoL, DoTa, CS, whatever you play, there will be fans of every team, players, so the opinion is VERY split.

I then went on the mech variant leaderboard at the time and realized... o so, that's proton. He was top 3 on all the variants and flat out winning more than half of them.

For a individual that has over 47 k posts with barely over 470 games in the last 2 years..
maybe throw in a possible 100-300 games before the season information was available..
not counting possible "solaris" matches hahaha..

Then looking at juju shinobi who alone had over 2000 games in quick play/group play in 1 year in noted stats..
hes been in the game since 11th of October 2012
whom has played with the actual "BEST" players in mwo

i'm not even going to post the stats because its not needed but do a 5 minute research between the two players and see for yourself

Jman5 even playing anymore, either? He was a fun one to fight against or with. Learned a lot on how to use the HBK-4J from him before they nerfed it (and before my desktop melted down).

It's also hilarious that people cling to Seasons, and forget this game existed long before there were seasons, and that some of us also use more than 1 account. Admittedly in the last year I have only played a handful of matches a month at most, mostly on my Clan Acct, and even those have been pretty infrequent, since you know I had both my Desktop and Laptop meltdown within 2 weeks of each other, then literally have been dealing with family emergencies ever since.

But I guess 1337 trolls don't understand that for grown ups IRL sometimes has to take precedence. The greatest stupidity is... it's not liek the topic is on current game balance, which I'd freely admit to being out of touch on. It's simply about the best players you've seen. I mean crap.. Heimdelight hasn't been active since January. Guess if he were to post his opinion would be moot, too? Lol.

Fortunately the folks who's opinions actually do matter (including some of the guys who do hate my guts, lol) know the score. I dunno. My opinion is so moot I even have my own Hero Mech in the game, lol. *SMH*

Some folks need to stop worrying about the size of their penises and get out more I guess.

I tried reading Panzer Leader but it was so dry I was never able to get through it, but I can understand why it would be required reading in your previous line of work. I prefer the stuff by Erhard Raus myself.

As far as todays standards;

I'd have to go with ASH, Nightbird, Sustained, VXheous, and Bowser in no particular order.

There are probably a lot of other folks I'm forgetting, but those are the peeps I see ripping up 2-3 people at a time on a regular basis.

DOOD, HE STILL PLAYS, VERY REGULARLY.

In fact, you can catch him on Stream up to 4 days a week... He has more subs and donations than 99% of all MWO streamers. Like...WTF? People make proton out like he quit or something. He's still very much around...

(in fact, 2 min after my last reply, I was chatting with him on his twitch page... Jesus people, do some research...)
