You have an Alt. Account? Or did you intend to gift one, just because you like Elementals so much?
Hmm... if only they could have been given custom configs back then...

- sitting in firing line somewhere defensible and waiting for the other team to come to you
- winning a fight and then spawncamping one enemy lance
Neither of these options make for fun games, but if you actually want to win that's what you'll be doing. This is unfortunate, especially for weaker players who only venture into FP during events and are likely to have a horrible experience. Conquest is excellent and offers real divergence of strategies, with splitting up your forces across multiple fronts and utilizing faster mechs (instead of stronger mechs) both legitimate options.

Sounds like a plan... It would be rather nice if they counted for double at both Match Score levels.
Also, your indication of "Invasion (12v12 25 minutes)" should probably read "Invasion ('12x4'v'12x4' 25 minutes)" because of everyone having Drop Decks to use. Otherwise it isn't clear to any newbies who may be tracking this Forum Thread which we're chatting on. Would you agree?
However, we don't even know yet if Scouting will be allowed to count. Unfortunately, if Scouting is left unable to count, then it will likely ruin the Event for anyone who can't go around 'No-Lifeing' it for 50 games worth of 'Invasion-type Skirmish' time. By the way, 50 games worth of time appears to be on the order of 27.8 Hours of in-game time at a far-edged minimum. Heck, potentially, it could be way beyond worse.
Blah... Given the unrest that's already popped up, from a Casual-Class Player's Point-Of-View, I'm looking already at giving this Event a rather dismal rating before it starts. Geez, right now, an Event Review Rating of...
5.0/10
...looks damned appropriate here! I hope I don't have to slam it downward further...

If we were to judge this event as a mere coincidence, then the options open up a little more for IS, though it would lead to a balancing nightmare. If we were to follow this https://mwomercs.com...mech-pack-poll/, then the most requested mechs are IS Omnis (We're going to ignore the Marauder II since the HG lawsuit probably didn't help). IS Omnis are a hit or miss situation. Some come with locked equipment (such as single heat sinks, XLs, etc) and are just not viable because of it. Not to mention some of them carry new pieces of tech that hasn't been implemented yet. But, let's humor the thought. If it's an 85-tonner, then the Templar is a good candidate. It's a FedCom Civil War era design, has double heat sinks and built-in CASE, and its variants carry some impressive firepower and the chassis is fairly fast. Also, we haven't seen any Davion pride so there's another good reason. The big problem here is it carries an XL and you know the saying. "Don't let friends pilot XL assaults".
For 95-tonners, it would be the Hauptmann. Like the Templar, it carries locked double heat sinks. I can see it being a brawling mech given its mixed loadout of energy, missile, and ballistics. No Endo or Ferro, but it carries a cigar in its mouth, has big guns, is integrated with CASE, and it's a Lyran design. In other words: perfection (besides the Republic of the Sphere of course).
The Sunder is a 'have your cake and eat it too' option (the event theme and FedCom tech) for the 90-ton slot. A Draconis Combine omnimech equipped with an XL engine and double heat sinks. Carries energy, missile, and ballistics just like the other two Omnis I have mentioned. The big downside is the locked engine and... the fact its made by the Draconis Combine.
In all likelihood, it's going to be the Hatamoto-Chi and Stone Rhino since PGI doesn't want to deal with IS omnis right away (We already have a balance nightmare going on right now let's not add another). But, they could throw a curveball at us like they did with the Champion.

Oh yeah, i hated that, left side of caustic valley and the right side of river city were just ridiculous at times, they need an alternate spawn algorithm that drops you outside the frying pan and the fire.

So as a loyalist i can't play this event? Thought they'd stop doing this crap by now.
and 50 games with 25 of them needing to be over 100 matchscore (should be easy enough) then another 50 games in QP within a week to win the free mech?
Seriously how much time does PGI thinks the average player has? That's roughly 26-30 hours of play. LOL.

TURTLE BAY: AFTERMATH
In the Aftermath of the Turtle Bay Massacre, Kurita forces are out for Blood. Clan Smoke Jaguar Blood.
Faction Objectives:
Objective
Faction Totals
Kuritan Force's Objective maintain a KD Ratio above 1
- Kurita Kills Total / Kurita Deaths total
Smoke Jaguar's Objective is to Maintain a W/L Ratio above 1
- Smoke Jaguar Wins / Smoke Jaguar Losses
I need clarification on this please...
So all of Kurita needs to maintain group KDR above 1, and all of Smoke Jaguar needs a W/L above 1?
And then what happens?
We get the champion heavy mech and cammo from THAT? Or from 75 loot bags? Or all 150?
This is a bit unclear..
Also.. What this guy said..

You get to pick a champion heavy after you acquired a 150 lootbags. You get to pick a Kurita pattern for your IS mech after the completion of the Kurita specific objective.
