I wonder what the poor -3 Variant gets in return for having less hardpoints than every other (xept for the -BL) Warhammer IIC. Maybe a second AMS slot or something, to make it less like the unloved sibling in the family.

And there goes any reason to buy this mech... good job pgi, you neutered it before it even had a chance.

mg quirks... don't even put that on it please, its better off just without that absolutely useless perk for an assault with TWO ballistic points. Please change that ffs. something, anything other than that.
Also they're all ppc's cept for the Clag boats, very dynamic O:

So much ******* this. Machine gun quirks... God damn machine gun quirks on an Assault with how many ballistic hardpoints? How on Earth did that even come up as a suggestion at the Office? Seriously? These guys must have a budget on quirks and SOMEHOW their entire design committee was like "ooh, machine gun quirks! That's fierce queen! We liiike it!"

I guess these ROF quirks originate in their effort to "encourage" stock weapon usage.

Perhaps this is part of Chris’s desire to provide clan mechs with more flavor quirks, coming to fruition?
If so...well, so much for flavor quirks. Sigh.

oh fuppy, you cheeky bas-tard. On a side note, enjoying Gothic Armada II tremendously.

We will have to see but I agree that its prospects look grim. It's going to handle like a boat and it's shaped like a barn, and 80 tonners really are basically just oversized heavy mechs. Was really hoping it would get some survival quirks, but failing that it definitely needs some mobility. Both of those branches in the skill tree are going to need some heavy investment, which takes away from the firepower tree that clan mechs need.

I am also disappointed about the agility of the Warhammer IIC which I expressed in other threads.
I did not expect quirks... none at all but I expected agility around the values like this (and especially those 90° twist angle)

View PostFupDup, on 14 February 2019 - 06:46 PM, said:

Therefore, I will propose the following:
Twist Angle: 90 (non-negotiable)
Accel: 17.72
Decel: 20.77
Turn: 42.68
Twist Rate: 78.75

Well folks the only thing that people can do is not buy this product or cancel preorder.
The only language that PGI understands.
I would have bought the WHM-IIC happily as I wanted to run 2xLBX10/2xPPC
on the hero but with this agility.... give me a break. (and a MWO break I will have)

I'm fine with it not having many quirks at its release. I'm not fine with its gimped agility. It needs 90 degree torso twist radius and all other agility stats put somewhere between those of an average Clan heavy and an average Clan assault.

Right now PGI is treating this mech as if it would somehow have similar maximum potential as the MCII, which is just not going to happen with its hardpoint height and composition.

Just adding to the chorus of boos on the terrible agility numbers. Hopefully, PGI will correct what must be typos.

I hope the Rifleman IIC doesn't go through the same lackluster quirk treatment that the Warhammer IIC unfortunately experienced. I am at least expecting some sensor boost similar to the cyclops (because of the radar dish), and hopefully some range increase quirks similar to the IS Rifleman since both mechs have the Garret D2J fire control systems inside of them. Maybe some stock load out quirks for the 1, 3, 4 and hero variants that help support their stock weapons but that might be reaching.

At the very least they could increase the torso yaw and maybe give the Warhammer IIC some armor quirks.

At most you'll see 5% quirks... nothing worth a damn.

Rifleman IIC should get the 10% range quirks. Anything else is gravy.

Quirks mean nothing with abominable mobility. It's a waste.
MG quirks. Ya. None would be better than kick in teeth. Waste.
Debating refund.
Question?
How does its mobilty compare to the IS Awesome or Zeus. That should be the benchmark.

How about the Charger/Hatamoto-Chi/Victor? Arguably the better IS 80 tonners.

I did not pre- order this one and just going off hard points, quirks, and agility pretty ok with that decision. Even the Rifleman iic would be a better purchase with its weapons ALL in the arms for the most part...

I have so much garro and loken lit to catch up on, been really piecemeal with horus heresy stuff the last couple years. Nick Kyme really pisses me off with how terrible he is at writing and how he has been allowed to butcher an entire chapter like the Salamanders.
