I use LRMs on a quite a number of my mechs.
I can say one thing for sure. Getting locks at any range is definitely not a problem, lol.
I don't understand OP's point.
Seriously, at what range are you trying to get locks? 1600 meters?
Ok. I'm happy you've got no problem..
I didn't say it's impossible to lock.. I state that it's much harder than it should be.. I'm talking about IDF locks, locks against ECM in general.
I state that locks in general should be buffed, especially IDF locks..

Use a better weapons system. LRMs are beyond the level of training wheels -- they aim for you, track for you, don't require line of sight, don't even require your own locks. MWO's implementation of LRMs is easily the worst in the entire franchise, and specifically because of indirect lock-on firing.
I disagree. LRMs are far from what they could realistically be.
LRMs neither aim for you, not track for you. Its gotten increasingly harder to lock and track. Loosing lock is often near-instantaneous. Locking often involves holding the target reticle dead-center on a moving target for 10+ seconds.
So yeah.. I disagree.
