Either way, find it odd you'd more or less call people no lifers for being good at a game when you've played nearly 20k matches with little improvement.

I just play, and happened to make it to T1. Like ASH and some others said. I should be in T3. I wouldn't mind. But.....oh well. You guys are sounding it like a rank system when it isn't. Wondering why do they have it, in the first place? To cause a stir?

It was meant to properly match players into games....but it was poorly designed, so it fails at doing so.

If matchmakers works through these tiers then yes it SHOULD be ranking system to make better matches, but I don't know have you ever heard any saying PGI might be a bit incompetent...sometimes?

No, it should be that T1 players have an avg MS of around 300. Lower numbers should reflect lower skilled players who avg less than that MS. Instead, that doesn't happen. But your hyperbole isn't needed.

My reply was to yours calling BS to real-life stuff getting in the way of people making T1 and and hence shouldn't be there. They shouldn't be. I shouldn't be either.

Sometimes I wonder, with the bickering in forums, and in MWO if you guys live in Apartments, raising your fists yelling at kids across the street.."You kids, get out of here. Stay off my grass!"

I'm confused. Let me make it clear. People won't yell at intelligent people doing intelligent things. If they do, then they're eejits. The whole point here was that people who made it to Tier 1 and then on comms make really bad calls are the ones who need to be ignored. Moreover, they shouldn't be in T1 matches. That's what most people here are saying. But you came here saying that people may not make it to T1 'cause of real-life issues and it's BS to say otherwise to which the counter-point was, "ok, well, it wouldn't matter if they had real-life issues or not 'cause the their numbers prove that they shouldn't be in T1".

This doesn't include people who accept they shouldn't be in T1 'cause they didn't ask for it but the exp bar puts them in a situation where they can't have fun. The top tier pilots don't yell if others just got on with their business. In fact, the top pilots will gladly share info to help others but they can't be bothered when bad pilots charge in here making bad calls and then blame others for it.

So, where did the kids and the old people come from, according to you?

When you're stuck resorting to ad hominem and non sequitur it means you really don't have a leg to stand on.

The fact of the matter is that the Tier system is used for matchmaking, the goal of matchmaking is to match similarly skilled players. As such Tier should be based on skill and based on your skill level you (and many others) shouldn't be Tier 1. It's that simple and there's really not a debate to be had.

If you could just admit that you were wrong instead of constantly trying to have the last word you'd find you'd get a more positive response. Instead you seem to be incapable of accepting your own shortcomings and instead project all kinds of unfounded motives and conditions on the people that disagree with you. Can your ego really just not accept that you were wrong on something, thank those that corrected you on your misconception, and just move on with your life?
