"Lower Tier." How does that sound? Maybe lower is not the right term. Maybe section or something else would been a lot friendlier. "Lower" makes people sound lesser of themselves.

Because, in terms of how well they play, they are lesser. That's why they are in a lesser Tier. That's how tiers work. It's not supposed to make players feel good, it's ranking them objectively on how well they are actually playing as measured by match score. The reasons why somebody is or is not playing well are completely immaterial to its purpose.

Well, if people are saying these players should be there, and those there...etc. The pilots should feel good where they are, not lesser of themselves. And you wonder why pilots work the way up to T1.

Lower Tier sounds perfectly fine to someone who has a brain and understands the words used in context.

Well, for many some take it differently. "Lower", when their is 5 tiers with bars. Tier 1 is in the top level of experienced pilots. Tier 1 is beginner/intro. Saying where pilots should be, like at a "lower Tier" is discriminating.

Those "some" need to understand what the word "Context" means and start using the new-found knowledge whenever they read or hear something.

"Lower" from "Pro's". That doesn't take much knowledge to understand the two.

The pilots should be knocked down a few pegs so they are with players who play like them, not given a Tier 1 badge to make them "feel good."

LMAO!..... No! "Not given a Tier 1 badge"

The Tiers 1-5, I think...... Group A-E. Group A for the ones who make Match Scores of 300+. Group E is for starters, beginners. I am sure many would enjoy being in certain groups. Sounds more comfortable, reasonable. And having that option of staying with a group of players, would make people happy. The word "Lower" will not be used.

Stop projecting your insecurities on a language. The words are there to be used and you need to understand the context. If you have problem with it, then it is YOUR problem. Enough with this snowflake nonsense.

Like I wrote earlier...."Well, for many some take it differently....."

And...if you have a problem with it, that is also YOUR problem. We are human.

The syllabus in school needs to improve constantly and update itself; not cater to the people who can't learn simple things. There are other schools for people like that.

You have a problem understanding words in context and rather than addressing that, you want others to cater to you. Not going to happen.

I was surprised to see this thread still going and popped in wondering what discussion could possibly be occurring regarding the original topic. A massive and unnecessary overthinking of vocabulary was not what I expected. "Groups A through E"? Come on man. That's about as intuitive as a can of black paint is transparent. Literally nobody is getting their feelings bruised in the year of our lord two-thousand and nineteen by a matchmaking ranking system in a video game. The concept is not new and the idea of "discrimination" against a group of people based solely on the fact that they are less good at the video game is positively inane. This discussion is utterly purposeless.

Those who point out grammar. "Context" is the word here. Some take the word "lower" differently. Example; "Should be lower", than from "Pro level". That is a bit intimidating, discriminate.

Goes to main topic, then a quote I made calls me back, because they are responding to me. They are having fun, or they would have just left it. I can not even make these guys laugh (Quote, videos), be happy. They want to argue instead. I understand some things where they are coming from, but dislike where I am coming from. They are like: Nope, it is this way, no other and who gives a crap. Discrimination. Furthermore, If you have other idea, than "group". Say something, or do not write at all. Take care. :-)

Well, I do talk for everyone, who can not, or are unable to. They do not like the forums for many reasons or other (on a contract jobs, medical, etc) about moving up the Tiers. Those are not around anymore as well. If you do not like it, oh well. kudos to ya. Be happy, smile, take care. :-)

Those "some" people are wrong to take that word ("Lower") differently 'cause they have to understand the context FIRST BEFORE replying. Otherwise, those "some" people should stop trying to have a conversation as they're incapable of doing so. If "Higher" is an accepted word, then its opposite, i.e., "Lower" is an accepted word. It doesn't matter if those "some" people are incapable of understanding this. It doesn't mean that we should stop using that word in its proper place 'cause it offends "some" people.

Again... "some" are those, like you, who are incapable of admitting to being wrong. But let's keep going. I'm sure Driocht should be around soon.

So, if I write "You have a lower IQ from the higher IQ" (although you do not), how would you feel? Pretty offended correct? Same like those in the Tiers. Writing "Should be in the lower tiers", from the "Pros". That is discriminating. They are also Pro's. I am admitting, that I do feel intimidated (touched a nerve) when people write that. It is offenses, discriminating. I am a pro mech pilot, not for match/damage score. And their are others who are in T1, the same.

You have no right to talk for people unless they have given you permission to do so.
You do not know if they agree with what you are saying... some might, some do not.

I didn't write names. So, move elsewhere. Kudos to you. Be happy, smile. Go enjoy the sun, hug your wife, kids, friends, a community. Their will be days, you will speak for them.
