A key objection to my After Action Report is that people will see their tactics. Using the solo players as meatshields, never leading in assaults, hiding in the middle, waiting to engage until the end, hiding in the back as a 4 man, using groups to pad the stats of certain players, etc. Everyone will see how selfish and toxic these players are...and THAT IS SOMETHING I DID NOT FORESEE.

Those supposed selfish/toxic players that are 'out to get you' and using a 'botnet' to vote you down, and are afraid of having their tactics revealed are the ones streaming their game play so EVERYONE can see what they're doing and why it works. Fear isn't the reason your idea is downvoted, it's downvoted on the merits, it's not worth money, either in the form of subscriptions or the dev time to implement.

Also, if you're going to keep crying bots, please provide evidence of such. We've seen YOU post to this thread under an alt, then delete and repost the same under you main, so there's that...

Reminder that the toxic and selfish players he's referring to planned, organized, advertised and are currently running a world championship as we speak that saw dozens of teams sign up and compete, and there is another player run comp series in development. Many of these such toxic and selfish players spend literal hours out of their day streaming and casting events, helping and training new players and running scrims for teams.

Meanwhile, the only "contribution" OP can claim is pimping his wife off on his stream and spamming every possible channel with his idea on how to grift people (he claimed he wanted people to sign and NDA to use it).

AFAIK it's been asked for and tried.

The last official PGI MWOWC was so neglected they couldn't even hook the "Official" casters up with like... A $10 green screen.

PGI went on and on about how MWO had this E sport potential and did nothing about it- which included dreaming up a Stock Mode tournament which no one asked for or wanted and absolutely resulted in a massive player exodus and some of the most boring comp matches I've ever watched.

This game needs actual balance & gameplay changes like making obsolete mechs (KDK3, Locust, IS Hunchback etc.) viable & fun to play again via the mobility buffs, new solo Q maps without center map feature so teams can hold their ground & trade instead of nascaring around, less grind on GSP. All your proposals make no sense Surn, even for free, not even talking about monthly subscription.

For example check this MWO changes prposal made by Capn Cat, it's way less pretentious, has actual good ideas and makes more sense in general. Not to mention it looks better in sense of design.

If I remember correctly, in one of the gif you used an example match where you were in a Fafnir on Crimson Strait.

Always in the back.
Never presenting armour
Waiting to engage until the end.

Practice what you preach.

unless a subscription proposal can be done in a way that reconciles those who have made past mechpack purchases i dont think it would ever be viable. something like get a month of banked subscription time per pack or maybe get a week of sub time per dollar spent. or anyone with more than a hundred bucks on the books gets an unlimited pass.

then you will lose a lot of the free players as well. i dont like the idea of paying a subscription for longer wait times. losing the free players will just make the wait times even more unbearable.

i suggested initial buy in bonuses where anyone's first mechpack purchase comes with a lot of grind reduction bonuses with the end goal of getting everyone to contribute at least $20. i figure if every free player just buys one mechpack that would give pgi a ton of money. bonuses would have to be very strong like items that let you grind any one of the in game currencies. like id spend $20 just for an item that allows any mech its equipped on to pay out mc every game. not only would that get me to buy more stuff but it would also get me into the game more.

I'd pay for an expansion pack with a tech jump.

I'd pay for mechpacks if they add something new/interesting to the game that cannot already be done with other mechs.

In general I would pay something for a map pack, but that gets tricky since everyone needs to have access to maps to avoid splitting the playerbase.

I would never pay a subscription for any reports, as I simply record any matches I'm interested in reviewing later.
