Notable: STD engine locked (64.8 kph) with Endo and Ferro, heavy engine gives opportunity for HIGH durability quirks and good maneuverability without too much firepower. ECM variant. High hardpoints in the torsos
Turkina - 95 Ton Clan Assault Omni-mech
Notable: 48.6kph, locked jump jets, utilize Jump Jet quirks big time to let it stand out from the Dire Wolf, and also improved agility to make up for less firepower. Notable CJF assault, defeated the ComGuards during Task Force Serpent
Sunder - 90 Ton IS Assault Omni-mech
Notable: Locked XL (64.8), can be a liability for an assault but can be balanced around that. Arm and shoulder hardpoints at cockpit level.
Raptor - 25 Ton IS Light Omni-mech
Notable: Myst Lynx speed, XL engine, locked endo, Up to around 10-11 Energy hardpoints, JJ omni pods available but not locked, can trade a couple E hardpoints for missiles or machine guns. 25 tons is a good spot for lights when it comes to scale. Probably the only light I would buy.
You may be asking yourself if I am going to copy and paste this into the inevitable intel gathering thread for new chassis. Yes, yes I am.

I would like to be able to assign which weapon goes to hardpoint location. My best example would be the Sleipnir, if you put a gauss rifle in the side torso, it defaults to the physically lower hardpoint and there is no way to move it to the upper. It may only effect a few mechs, but I think it would add some extra variety to those mechs.

Behold the Griffin-1RG:
Comes from the official BattleTechnology magazine, which was canon until 2008.

Or to put it in MWO schematics (original loadout has 0.25t of armour unallocated - added this to the torso):
This is a very unique Griffin variant that would be good for mixing ACs or Gauss with lasers, or just doing pure lasers. It would actually make a pretty serviceable Heavy Gauss medium mech, being able to pack 4 ML + HGR while going 73 kph (STD250 engine).

Dear Sirs & Ladies: I really would like to see the following mechs - before I die, which might be very soon (I'm not kidding):
A] As I reminisce and do these updates I realize that the following items need to be addressed.
B] Reward your loyal FOUNDERS in all 3 levels - Regular, Elite and the big one Legendary (I'll be darned that is little ol' me with almost 600 mechs in my stables Bwahhahahwahaha [ a most evil laff while I, Kushiels Dart, grins from ear-to-ear]). Do this especially for those of us who play almost daily (again lil' ol' me)
C] I live in a remote area of Idaho and I feel I am being punished every time YOUR game crashes or YOUR server loses connection. STOP IT!
D] I feel that those of us who helped found this game are now just secondary citizens who are being ignored.
1) From the 2750 tech manual:The LANCELOT, the GUILLOTINE, the FLASHMAN, the CROCKETT (do not dishonor it by naming it the Katana), and the HUSSAR, Finally introduce as the first Inner Sphere Omni the MERCURY! The MERCURY needs to be introduced as it beginning all of the clan mechs and a glimpse of the future of Inner Sphere mechs
2) From the 3025 tech manual I think it would be nice to introduce the OSTSCOUT, OSTROC, & OSTSOL (you could do a all-in-one package featuring the mechs from OST Industries - hint hint) and finally the CLINT, the CRUSADER, and the LONGBOW.
3) Here is another big gripe. Where is the AXMAN and the HATCHETMAN? You might not be able to create a functional ax and hatchet but it could be at least cosmetic!
4) Here is quick money source: Make the KING CRAB stable available for sale at your web site. You already have it as bits and pieces. Get the various chassis variants assembled in one place and offer as a package! Instant money and no development of a new chassis! DUH! I get tired of asking about this and being told "I will forward your idea to the appropriate personnel" Who are the appropriate personnel and why has this not been addressed to my, AND A LOT OF OTHER MECHWARRIORS, satisfaction.
5) And finally my big beef, and this is a big beef. WHERE ARE THE 4 LEGGED MECHS? The SCORPION, the GOLIATH and the TARANTULA! Don't tell me they are too hard to do/make/create as your competitors already have 4 legged mechs.
Think about introducing the Thunderbolt 5, 10, and 20. You would make a long time gamer very happy.
Now shut-up and take my money
Sincerely, Kushiel's Dart
you have my e-mail address send me a note and i would be glad to actual talk to you via a phone call.
I'd LOVE the introduction of four legged mechs like the Scorpion and the Goliath. They'd add a pretty unique dynamic to the game, even if they weren't very good.

Edit: also can I just second the motion to add the Conjurer? I think that'd be a great mech to add.

unfortunately not all tonnage is created equal. i wish there was a clan tonnage penalty (even a small one). Even with late war tech IS is still not as effective as Clan.
8v8 would be nice for shorter queue times.
you're basically talking about the Battletech Battle Value system, where it's not just tonnage that's factored in, but also other factors. Each variant would have a base BV, which is further increased based on loadout. A metamech Assault like the MCII-B with meta loadout would have crazy high BV. But if it runs a joke build like 4 MGs, it would tank the BV. Then matchmaker would be balancing BV across 2 teams.
This has been suggested ages ago. But in typical PGI form, many good suggestions from the community have been largely ignored.
Currently, even tonnage balancing has gone out the window. So we can forget about any sort of proper balancing in the near future.

https://www.sarna.ne..._Wolf_(Mad_Cat)
"The first custom configuration used by the infamous Bounty Hunter of the time of the initial Clan Invasion, it mounted a Large Pulse Laser and a Medium Pulse Laser in each arm. It also had a Medium Pulse Laser in both the left and right torso with a Clan Light TAG in the center torso. A Light Active Probe, ECM suite, and a Targeting Computer provided stealth and increased accuracy."
Loadout:
Left Arm: 2 energy
Right Arm: 2 energy
Left torso: 1 energy
Right Torso: 1 energy, 1 ECM
Center Torso: 1 energy
(ECM could go in either side torsos)
8-Piece Omnipod Quirk Ideas:
-10% laser duration
-5% energy heat
Reasoning for Quirks:
This will make a variant of the timber wolf that is a good choice over other mech chassis when it comes to laser vomit. Also, it will encourage players to use the full omnipod set rather than switching out the left torso with the TBR-A torso to get even more laser power.
Conclusion:
I would love to see a timber wolf with ECM and lots of energy capabilities rather than having a focus on missiles like most other variants. Thank you for reading!

1. IS OmniMechs - I'll be honest with you, if the next mech pack is an IS BattleMech, Clan BattleMech, or Clan OmniMech, I am going to pass and wait for a C-bill release. I'm really sick and tired of the conservative and cynical mindsets of the MWO community that says "PGI won't do it" or "I would rather choose to go with an IS BattleMech instead". The game needs to change and I really want them to get out of the status quo we are in right now. I would rather see PGI put IS Omnis out there and test the waters with it like they did with the Clan OmniMechs.
2. Clan OmniMechs - The Clans still need a light OmniMech with MASC. For this part I would not mind seeing a 20-ton Fire Moth or the Hellion. Because those are the only Mechs we are missing in the light bracket, a Clan OmniMech with MASC.
3. Clan BattleMechs - For this one, I would say release the remaining IIC and Mechwarrior 2 mechs. The 20 ton Howler (Baboon) wouldn't be bad either to for a light MASC mech, as long as PGI makes some good hardpoints for it.
4. IS BattleMechs - Just release the remaining Unseens and Mechwarrior 4 Mechs (Argus and Chimera)

The point of each variant is to add new Omnipods into the mix that allows more choices for the Timber Wolf.
The TBR-G Center-Torso is specifically given with AMS to provide more missile defense. Along with the TBR-J Right-Torso, and TBR-C Left-Torso, it can mount 3 AMS at the same time. An Iron-Dome for Clan Heavies.
The TBR-G Left Torso is specifically done to supplant the TBR-S Left-Torso for ballistic use, because it is exactly hampered with it's 2x JJ. This allows a more effective Mid-Ranged Dakka platform for the Timber-Wolf.
The TBR-G Right Torso is given with MASC to provide an option for higher mobility for the Timber-Wolf. It should be useful for brawling builds. MASC is already a risky addition to the mech, and so it comes with a bit of Quirks.
The TBR-J Center-Torso is given with 1 missile-hardpoint to make it different from the other Center-Torso and allows more missiles through the use of this. This is also meant to be used with TBR-G Right-Torso, but as an alternative of 6x SRM6A, it is instead usable with 4x SRM6 without Artemis.
The TBR-J Left Torso is specifically done to add a 3x Ballistic Highmount for the Timber-Wolf, a direct copy from the TBR-A but with ballistics.
The TBR-G SO8 allows something like a Gauss-Vomit or Gauss-PPC to be a bit more manageable.
